I imagine it would have to be 50% retention. Is that worth it for Florida to even consider at this point? Not like Bob is a stiff.

Before he seemingly recovered his game this year maybe. He was pretty bad last year. Also, depends on what they think of Spencer Knight's ability to be the guy.

A lot of factors point to that trade never happening. I just think Bob would be a good fit there.

Agreed. Atkinson is the type of player the Flyers needed. I would love to still have Jake but you have to give to get.

i was pumped on that buzzer beater to take the lead.

was not expecting that to go in at all.

You make adjustments. real simple. Call up Egor instead. Either way Seeler doesn't help the team
- hello it's me 2050

Seeler is fine for what he is and the expectations that follow...he is there for spot play when we cant skate our full top 6. We have played 5 games and if you would have watched LHV on the NHL network this weekend, you would have saw that Cam still is not clicking yet.

It would be great to be in a position to call the kids up and its possible Fletch would IF they were playing well. LHV has been pooping the bed and nobody on the team is standing out as a great call up candidate, offensively or defensively.

Hopefully Attard continues his stellar play and turns pro after his season this year and makes himself a a legitimate candidate to take 3RD next year.

yes spot play. A game here and there. Not playing 4 out of the first 5.

Well York is playing well. You disagree.

I highly doubt Attard is in the mix in any way to be in the NHL lineup next season to start.

I think Seeler offers very little to nothing.

the camera views they were showing on tv, you couldn't tell where the puck was at all. i think the call on the ice was a goal, so i didn't really think it was going to be overturned based on what i saw.

lot of complaining in here over nothing.

I expected 30 from Atkinson so far exceeding that rate. G is having a mighty fine start on scoring as well.

What a good start for Hart. Love that win! This game was without Ellis and still without Hayes and the Flyers have room to improve. Can’t wait to see a full lineup with some games behind then. Playing good against these high-tempo offenses, Panthers and Oilers. Close games.

Harts start is the most important aspect in my view.

.

. Last year Attard was AHCA 1st team All American last year, nominated for the Hobie Baker, and named NCHC's best offensive defenseman. As a freshman he made the NCHC all rookie team

in the USHL in 2018-2019 he had 30 goals, 34 apples in 48 games. lead his team in points and tops for Dman league wide. He set a USHL record for most goals in a single season by a defenseman and won USHL Player of the Year, USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year, USHL Defenseman of the Year, USHL Best Plus/Minus (plus-46), and USHL First All-Star Team.

I have little doubt he could man the 3RD role especially considering he is 6'4 and probably playing at 215-220lbs right now.

I can’t even believe it. Ride the wave while it lasts. Even if he can pot 35 this year that’s solid.
- Hextall271

A lot of good things happen when you shoot the puck! Goalies don't always expect shots for farther out so you might get them before they are completely set, which was the case on Atkinson's 2nd goal of the game. This to me is the biggest difference with the Flyers so far this year, they are shooting a lot more and scoring. Its a mentality more than anything else. With Jake it seemed this team cared more about making a pretty play than getting pucks to the net. With Jake gone, the persona has shifted to shooting more and getting pucks to the high danger areas.

thanks for his bio. Still do not believe he will be in the mix to start with the flyers next season in any way. Assuming he doesn't pull a Wyatt....

When Wade Allison returns that will get even better. That guy never saw a shot opportunity he didn't like.

funny he was credited with 1 take away and 1 give away.
Provy with 3 give aways and no one is talking about that.
Oh right, we need to pile on RR

Um, he's out for the season. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Allison pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

He was not good in the 1st IMO, looked small on both goals against, but the rest of the game I thought he looked strong.

I watched, i'm not nearly as critical on RR as yourself. I thought he played fine. I don't nitpick mistakes or i'd be here all day, every player makes some mistakes in the game.

G was an absolute boss in the faceoff circle, the last shift prior to the EN. I could see why they were taking their shot at the EN; fully confident he would win the draw if they missed.

Very entertaining game last night. I rarely stay up for a left coast game; glad I did.

Besides that one article I quoted a few days ago I have not heard or read anything about Allison. I have no idea what his status is, he is still listed as out indefinitely as far as I know. Wondering if Bill has heard anything?

...and been focusing primarily on his defensive play all last season and this so far. He does not have the challenge of most of our prospects in that they need to "get stronger" to be able to handle NHL level strength. He has that already, can make the first pass, and skates at a NHL level.

He probably doesnt have York's upside to be able to run a Powerplay or dangle in open ice but IMO he is more developed to step right in and play.

The one thing I like about the Flyers this year is they are having strong 3rd periods, and last night was no different. The Flyers didn't sit back at all, and that is a very good sign compared to last year.
