Much better game for the top line than in previous games. That is encouraging.

The puck is going in like crazy for Atkinson. He's going to have a good season but this hot shooting is not very likely to last.

I can’t even believe it. Ride the wave while it lasts. Even if he can pot 35 this year that’s solid.

Braun is playing well. Not sure how long he can sustain it playing top 4 minutes.

His shooting % isn't sustainable. Neither is Joel or Clode

Even when Cam cools down he will still help in other areas. He has other value.

My point being that Atkinson brings more of what this team needed! He has a shoot first mentality and gets the puck to the net. He also kills penalties and so on. Of course he isn't gonna stay on this pace scoring wise, but he certainly brings an element that this team badly needed!

I expected 30 from Atkinson so far exceeding that rate. G is having a mighty fine start on scoring as well.

What a good start for Hart. Love that win! This game was without Ellis and still without Hayes and the Flyers have room to improve. Can’t wait to see a full lineup with some games behind then. Playing good against these high-tempo offenses, Panthers and Oilers. Close games.

If Ellis is out for more than a game, and he has been already, York should be in the lineup. Seeler ok for spot 1 off game duty. Otherwise he doesn't help for multiple games in a row in the lineup.

How did RR look to you Flyer fans? Does ex selke look off to anyone?

- hello it's me 2050

Early in the year…if Ellis has a groin strain, it’s not something that needs to be rushed.
All Flyers D took a bit last night to get used to the speed of the oilers, but after a rough going early I thought they played well.
In answering your other question, I thought RR played a decent game. I also think Coot’s is playing solid…he’s producing and continues to be an absolute stud on the defensive side of the puck.

And if he can elevate the PK, he will turn out to be quite the addition.

Don't forget Risto, he played a great game tonight! Sanheim was better, but still a lot to clean up in his game. He has got to be better on the 3rd Oiler goal.
- jd250

I guess if he only turns the puck over there times leading to HQ scoring chances (and a goal against) it's considered a "great game" for him? 😂

I wish we could play the Oilers 8-times per year. Not only to watch McJesus and German Gretzky's magic act, but so the Flyers could take advantage of their awful d corps and shakey goaltenders. 🤣

Yes no need to rush it I agree. If any extended period much much rather have York. Seeler is playing what 10-12 minutes a night? It will tax the other dman if he is in the lineup more than a game at a time.

Ex selke is producing points wise, something just looks off.

Everyone understand that. It was a good trade for both teams. Again, you can like a player your team traded for without having to criticize the player the other team got and falsely diminish that player. It was a good hockey trade for both sides.

Coots hasn’t had that “signature” offensive game yet, but I do think he’s playing well. Seeler struggled early last night but what Dman other then Provy didn’t? They all gave the puck away on numerous occasions. Clearly you can’t replace Ellis or his minutes….that’s what happens with injuries. Good teams find a way to get through it.

How does the GM with that offense allow himself to have such a bad D and average goaltending? Had they kept Larson it would be much better yet still underwhelming. Overpaid for Ceci who is a good #5.

I imagine they are at or near the cap limit. Not sure how he improves them to make a run.

They are so dynamic and so much fun. I was only able to watch the first period but when I woke up I was surprised that the Flyers only scored 5 goals and that Edmonton only scored 3.

They are playing well in the third period this season. To me that is a sign of a good team. Not everything is perfect right now. But that's ok it is a long season.

I want them playing there best hockey in 77 games. If the Oilers do not upgrade the goaltending McDavid should sue. That includes Mike Smith. Dude is 40. No way he takes them on a run.

Also very weak on the puck on the Hyman goal on the puck battle in the corner.

Seeler isn't an NHL dman. He should not be playing multiple games in a row imo. Perfect 7th guy to fill. York has played well so far. Much rather take his talent and upside over seeler.

Agreed. Atkinson is the type of player the Flyers needed. I would love to still have Jake but you have to give to get.

funny he was credited with 1 take away and 1 give away.
Provy with 3 give aways and no one is talking about that.
Oh right, we need to pile on RR

I always thought Bob with some salary retained made a great fit with Edmonton. I think he has a full NMC though. Pretty sure he would not pass up the sunshine in Florida for Edmonton.

you keep ignoring that York plays left side and Seeler plays right.

I imagine it would have to be 50% retention. Is that worth it for Florida to even consider at this point? Not like Bob is a stiff.

I am fine with Seeler on the third pair for a handful of games. If he is asked to play higher than that the Flyers will be in trouble.

You make adjustments. real simple. Call up Egor instead. Either way Seeler doesn't help the team
