It was over 20 years ago but yeah...poop we had 3 designated fighters on the team, two of whom are currently locked up for violent crimes

The bolded is false but to answer your question, they have a similar decision to make than the one they did in 2018.

Do you retool your current lineup and try to win with Carey?

Or you completely rebuild.

In 2018, the idea of making the most of Weber/Price made sense imo, and it almost worked.

In 2021, it might just be time to blow it up.

- Scabeh

They don't need to rebuild, just retool the D, which is one of the worst in the league. Get a good 3rd line center with experience and speed and draft a goalie early next year because Primeau will never be that guy and to be honest, I think McNiven is playing better but no one cares about him in the organization so...

Oh and for your information, i'm starting to sell my half season tickets so if you want some (aka waste 400$), let me know. For some stupid reasons, this year my tickets alternate between section 122 and 110. Don't ask me why nor the reasonning, even them couldn't come up with a define explanation.

Yeah, of course, I wouldn't do it either. We just don't pretend they're all MENSA candidates...

I played 2 years of hockey, second year I was Atom (like 11 years old), got an ultra poopty coach who constantly humiliated kids on the team. The team was also full of bullies, we were dead last in the league and I had absolutely no fun. Stopped playing hockey after that, kept playing baseball during the summer and played basketball during winter.

i had a similar experience in peewee. think i was 12 or maybe 13. it was peewee B, meaning that there was only one league below us in terms of skill. so we were somewhere between "OK" and "needs his dad to tie his skates". and we had a coach who acted like he was coaching major junior hockey. he benched my line during a playoff game because he wanted the more "skilled" guys out there. we laughed it off then but i look back on it now as just bizarre behaviour.

That sucks man.

Reminds me of my brother, he's always been a pretty shy guy but was an amazing skater and hockey player.

He'd always be playing in the best teams but they were filled with bumholes and bullies and the coaches did very little to prevent that and teach them about being good teamates and decent human beings.

He stopped playing when he was like 12.

I, on the other hand, wasn't as skilled (I was good but nothing special) but was lucky enough to have my own dad as a coach for a long time and he focused more on everyone having fun and team spirit than anything else. Surprisingly enough, we had very good seasons despite some obvious lack of talents by plenty on the team.

I ended up playing all the way to Midget "A" before calling it quits at 18. Started playing again 4 years ago with a great group of guys and it's been a blast.

Bottom line, team sports are all about the group you end up with. A good one will turn the whole experience into something amazing. A bad one will make any kid quit very fast.

Ah the frankentitties I always see at the grocery store. Don't forget the awful tasting brine they inject to plump them up, increase the weight/sale price and force the buyer to eat salty, watery chicken. We are a gross species

Where I'm from seeing wild turkeys is pretty common, even in the city. You'll see them crossing the road or in people's yards, often in groups. We had a customer a few years back that installed feeders for them in front of their building like pets (which is not a good idea but pretty funny)

oh we only see them a few times a year and it's always weird because it's so infrequent. they're usually in a group but this dude was alone. probably on the run from butterball.

You can buy hormone free and organic and all that. Depending on where you live you can often get it direct from the farm. Either way that gets expensive. I've toyed with the idea of one of those online organic meat delivery companies that deliver a monthly box of a variety of frozen meat but never tried it

The reason here is oddly gun laws. Pros and cons to everything. County/rural people can't just shoot over populated or undesired animals anymore and as the population increases they migrate as animals do. First it was deer, then turkeys, one of the bigger issues now is coyotes. Coyotes in the cities are becoming a real problem
