I watched 10min and turned it off.

I won't be watching many games this year the way it's going, there is nothing entertaining about this team so far.

toward the end of last season i stopped watching flyers games. there's no shame in it. we're older now. so many other things we have to do and 2.5 hours becomes pretty valuable.

Last time they won in San Jose, Shayne Corson was playing for the Habs...don't know if I'll even watch the 1st.

Hey, you never know, I might get that one game they score 6 for some reason.

Try and pick based on opposition...your kid can say I saw Ovi or I saw Sid, as compared to I saw Cedric Paquette

That guy was labeled as a hard worker, Steve Begin type of player....really don't see it so far.

what disappoints me is i really appreciate competitive hockey games in the dead of winter. like i really have nothing better to at 8 PM on a Tuesday night than watch hockey. and even in their recent terrible seasons, there was still that glimmer of hope in Jan/Feb that they were on the cusp of a heater that would get them back in the race. this is a new experience.

I think Ovi has a bit more scoring touch than Steve Begin...

I watched a 5 win in 42 game stretch for the 49ers that spanned 3 coaches. Different sport but...ah who am I kidding...this sucks

Nobody expects Paquette to score a ton, just outwork his opponents.

Lots of guys had decent careers in the league mostly by outworking others...can't rely only on talent at this level.

When I was younger I played on a team with a guy who went on to have a pro career. Coach was giving a pregame speech against a top team and said hard work beats skill every time. Guy who went pro said "what happens when skill works hard?" Coach stood there dumbfounded and had no response. We lost 8-3...but we worked hard

maybe they can get better as the year goes on. i remember a bunch of years back when the flyers looked just like this at the start. so so bad. just no chance. then there was a game in november where claude said in an interview that they were still going to make the playoffs and everyone was like wtf? but they somehow turned it around and did sneak in by the end of the season. hockey is so weird, you never know.

42 games was over the course of nearly three seasons...but yeah...Stephen Ross may be a worse team owner than Molson is so I feel for you. Also, the Fish, talk about starting a rebuild on an amazing note and getting all that draft capital and then (frank)ing it up. Unused picks are sexy. The second you use them and pick Tua or Herbert it's gross. Getting the haul from the 49ers was amazing, trading one of those 1sts to move up a small amount and take a questionable WR...what a mess

Be nice to coaches.

They are doing this for the love of kids and the game. Because of them, the whole hockey system in Canada works.

And also, because they are doing it, I don't have to.

Yeah, of course, I wouldn't do it either. We just don't pretend they're all MENSA candidates...

I played 2 years of hockey, second year I was Atom (like 11 years old), got an ultra poopty coach who constantly humiliated kids on the team. The team was also full of bullies, we were dead last in the league and I had absolutely no fun. Stopped playing hockey after that, kept playing baseball during the summer and played basketball during winter.
