Travis Green challenges an early Flyers goal for offside even though the video clearly shows it was good. He wins the challenge turning the tide. Green is a genius.

i'm going 4-3 (with the emptynetter)

JTM
Chaison
OEL

Pearson with the EN.

How do you get an empty netter and win 4-3? I guess they get an empty netter and then Philly still scores after that? Strange prediction

And Pod and Chaisson both played the other night in the same lineup

Well.
this is a good point.

In my defence, i'm on the first of 2 night shifts, all hopped up on energy drinks and not thinking straight.
Did just finish watching 1917.
Good film!

Nice to see another former Canuck doing well after moving on. Nate Schmidt 6 Points, 6 Games.

Very good film. Just watched it in glorious 4K on the 65" Sony. Seamless transfer and picture quality...stunning actually.

Wow...both Florida and Carolina looking good out of the gate thus far, Panthers have a +18 goal differential already. I wonder how, or if, the Joel Quenneville situation will affect them in the near future?

Nothing really matters until American Thanksgiving anyway, the dust has usually settled by then and the cream starts to rise to the top.

The Flyers looked decent last night but Edmonton probably would have/should have beaten them with better goaltending. Something they're going to need to address via the trade market if they're going to compete in the playoffs, which they'll definitely make imo.

Zack MacEwen also played well in Jeff Carter's old #17 sweater

If you just glance at the pic, it looks like Alec Baldwin playing Jim Benning

Are you foreshadowing their presser after they've been fired?
"We're not sure what went wrong". explains former Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green as a stunned Jim Benning, Canucks former General Manager sits next to him.

I was listening to an interview with Nico Hischier, the 22 year old captain of the Devils, the other day and he was saying that part of his duty as captain is to make sure his teammates feel comfortable talking with him about stuff other than hockey.

(frank) Jonathan Toews.

The youngest generation is pushing things in the right direction, hopefully the Kyle Beach story is the beginning of a slow filtering out of all the dinosaurs whose morals are completely corrupted.

I don't need him to make a bad play, I still dislike him.

How can you dislike him more than Elias? Hughes is far more

This post makes hockey sound like a sport where there's nothing but pervy old men running it. It isn't like that at all. You have to accept that you'll never get rid of all the bad in the world. Every faction of life has evil. Every generation has to struggle against it.

I write this because I feel my personal experiences with hockey were positive and helped form me into the person I've become. That was through the voluntary effort of many good people. I'm sorry for what happened with Beach. But it just isn't common in the sport and shouldn't completely overshadow the efforts the kind hearted.

Not at all. He essentially rented Schmidt for a year without giving up anything.

Of all the interviews they did, there was something on the order of 37 witnesses who refused to speak on the subject. It's not unreasonable to say the majority of the people in the organization at least at the senior management, coaching, and player levels were fully aware of what had happened. No one did anything, in some cases exacerbated the situation by ridiculing Beach for it. And still after all this, there are people refusing to condemn what happened.

Look at the (frank)ed up statements made by Toews and Tippett, among others. Look at how not a single one of the mainstream reporters for the major networks bothered touching the story until this week. Not to mention Bowman being replaced by USA Hockey with Bill Geurin who has an open investigation regarding him covering up sexual abuse. It's a problem that permeates the NHL, there's no 2 ways about it.

I'm not saying hockey is evil. I'm saying the NHL has some deep rooted culture problems.

Travis Hamonic definitely sticks out at this practice in Abby.

He’s more than likely still a while away from being NHL-ready but he looks sharp in his first practice with the AHL team.

Conformation he is there.
