After seven games, this is the worst this franchise has ever been, and we need to blow it up and fold the franchise and kill everyone and burn the boats and lots of other stuff.
And we are two points behind the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions. - Atomic Wedgie
I haven't been in here in like a week. I came expecting a few fools to be posting stuff like this seriously. I saw your name, thought, "really??? He is being the fool???". Read a bit more and realized you were making fun of THOSE folk as well.

There are many things to criticize the Leafs for, but failure to develop defencemen properly has got to be at the top of the list.
Guys need to be able to make mistakes without fear of being benched or worse. - Atomic Wedgie

Can’t handle blaming the guy who (frank)ed up the most? Fine.
Make my “opinion” seem out of touch with the truth
The rookie fanbase and biased hate for Dermott is unreal lately |

Unfortunate for the Panthers after such a strong start Quenville is likely getting fired. - Santo_44
I doubt it.

We should be allowed to, right?
Sandin is a rookie and will make mistakes, as will Liljegren..
Hopefully one day Dermott can learn how to defend - PatC80
While I agree wiht the sentiment, Sandin is, in fact, not considered a rookie. |

Why not, we just spent a week blaming Nick Ritchie for Marner/Matthews not getting it done. 🤷🏻♂️
That bottom pair is a problem long term, but the issue through 7 games is offence and you can't hold them accountable for that. |

(frank) off, he had it topped by a dozen games to start the year. Maybe not “officially” but practically yes, a rookie with hardly any NHL experience |

That may fall behind trading for young and upcoming ones...
Goalies with promise come here to underperform. It goes back a long way. Pogge, Toskaloss, Raycroft, Bernier, Andersen (although he was good for a couple of years), THE MONSTER!!! Jonas Gustafsson.
One almost wonders if Tuukka Rask would have flopped if we had kept him.

Rather aggressive, don't you think?
Yeah, I mean he's never been a full timer, hasn't progressedinto that yet. I put the word "considered" in there for a reason.

Its more complex than that, its more like hold on to the puck with lots of fancy moves for a minute, pretending you play for the Harlem Globetrotters, then cough up a 3 on 1 to a group that has scored 8 times in the last five seasons and watch them score a highlight reel goal. And then blame the 4-6 dmen. |

Was directly involved in it just as Bowman was...Bettman meeting with him face to face...not looking good for him.

Investigation found Bowman, MacIsaac, McDonough, Jay Blunk, Kevin Cheveldayoff and Joel Quenneville and James Gary met in May 2010 to discuss Aldrich's alleged assault and took no action for 3 weeks.
One witness said the decision was left in McDonough's hands, Schar says.
All these guys are collectively (frank)ed.
The fact the NHL and the Panthers are letting him coach tonight is a brutal message to send. |

Reimer wasn't too terrible, he came from the leafs system. 🤷🏻♂️
But yeah, we're poop in the grand scheme of things.
Much rather see this team draft and develop top flight defensive talent. Think that's harder to come across than goalies at the end of the day. |

Sandin has been doing well.
Holl and Muzzin have made more mistakes than him. 2 guys with a combined 15 year NHL experience. |

Dermott made an error that led to the one on one with Sandin. Ok fine.
But ultimately, Sandin didnt do a good enough job tying up his man or taking away the puck which led to the goal that Campbell should have stopped. That was bad

Sandin has made mistakes. I would argue that can be expected of someone with his experience level, but he has made mistakes. He made some bad ones in the playoffs too.
Muzzin and Holl have made mistakes too, but they don't absolve Sandin of his. It's just that they're burning up Sandins rope by playing like poop, there's less room for him to make massive mistakes because of their shortcomings.
They all need to be better, the only defenceman we have that I don't want to see fired out of a cannon at this point is Brodie. They are failing as a group and they all need to step up and be better.
And none of them need to step up more than our big money players who are ultimately failing this team massively. |
