But he hasn't. He has been very good.

(frank), a player split the D in Tampa, made Hedman and the Russian look like Pee Wee D men too...

- bixll

But he can’t play D all that well himself

YET!!!

I swear to (frank)ing god nobody listens to me, I’m done talking about it

I'm not so sure, think Amadio goes.

Think they prefer to keep 7 D up with the uncertainty there, at least in the short term.

I can see a minor trade happening eventually. Forward + dman for defenceman. Or something like that.

- joel878

They have to cut two guys

The only reason they have Amadio and Liljegren is because those two essentially add up to Mikheyev’s contract

Liljegren was beat multiple times
- Dozzer

this season;

Sandin: 16:15 TOI and 56.4% o-zone starts
Dermott: 13:42 TOI and 62.7% o-zone starts
Liljegren: 14:56 TOI and 55.6% o-zone starts

Tell me again how Dermott is better than both rookies?

I think he's been good and bad. He looks solid at times, but there's some glaring (frank) up's every game.

I'm sure that's part of being a rookie and I hope the bad mistakes go away in time but then Gardiner. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Until he proves he can handle the defensive part of being a defenseman, I don't think he should be in the Leafs lineup.. Maybe give someone like Carl Dahlstrom a chance

- PatC80

Altho Sandin has yet to prove it as well but you’re find with him?

Fair.

I still can't see them being super secure in rolling with 6 defenceman with dermott/Sandin as the bottom pair. I think something has to give at some point, too many guys they want in the NHL across the roster.

Because they obviously feel he’s more capable in the part of the game they’re currently struggling on… OFFENCE

Yes which also means it was Sandin who got defeated

Why do you guys think he’s so bloody perfect? He’s good but he’s a rookie and he’s far from stable due to that

- Dozzer

I didn't say he was perfect. Please do not put words in my mouth. I said he has been very good and not made A LOT of mistakes. That I have seen. Maybe I am missing something. He is only -1 or -2. Muzzin is a -7. He has been terrible. Not the kid.

Liljegren can be called up and down easily since he’s waiver free

Come on Bruce.

Pat is no more biased than you are.

You just have a different opinion on both players is all.

I don’t hate Sandin but unlike you guys I’m willing to acknowledge he’s a (frank)ing rookie so he’s going to (frank) up… A LOT
- Dozzer

Listen dozzer, we already have a team of vets and mid 20's tik tokking stars who (frank) up A LOT.............ugh I dont even know where I was going with this, something about Sandin. But after typing the first sentence, I just got sad and lost my train of thought.

Go Jays!

Muzzin and Holl have been brutal but all I’m saying is that Sandin is only as reliable as a typical rookie on the bottom pairing and this is why I’m against playing two rookie d men at the same time.

But as always everyone chirps me

I read an article in the Athletic that reported Marner had a 7 game 'no-pointer' in 2017. So there is precedent and we can expect this once every four years.

He followed it up with 13 pts his next 9 games so sit back and enjoy!

If they lose tonight, firing Keefe won't be enough.

Firing Dubas won't be enough.

Firing Shanny won't be enough.

If they lose tonight, we have to go right to the top.

Fire Edward Rogers.

We should be allowed to, right?
Sandin is a rookie and will make mistakes, as will Liljegren..

Hopefully one day Dermott can learn how to defend

Doesn't matter.

Muzzin is a 12 year veteran and he is making more mistakes than Sandin.

Sandin has been good.

After seven games, this is the worst this franchise has ever been, and we need to blow it up and fold the franchise and kill everyone and burn the boats and lots of other stuff.

And we are two points behind the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions.

And I bet...if we were to look over stats of many elite stars (crosby, Malkin, ov, Mac, AM etc) we will probably find the same thing.
It happens.
