The Chicago Blackhawks say they will release the findings of an independent investigation into allegations of sexual abuse and a cover up in the organization at 1 pm local time today.
Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz, CEO Danny Wirtz and lawyer Reid Schar are scheduled to speak during today's virtual press conference.
"Organisational changes" are coming as a result of Schar's investigation,
@MarkLazerus
reports, citing multiple unnamed sources.

PP has been poop for a ages. Not a weird start on the PP, its more of the same. Special teams are very important come playoff time, time to get Marner off the 1st unit. - winsix
I don’t think it’s a personnel problem. I just don’t think there’s enough movement and they’re too predictable. There’s 4 guys on Marner when the puck goes into him. The Canes can hold their positions and cut their angles because they know exactly where ever is going to be.
But we hate Marner, so… |

Agreed.
The PP is bad and has been for a very long time.
Not sure about moving marner, but I think how the pp is set up needs to change or it needs a new look. Predictable |

carry over from last blog;
Playoffs is a different matter, we are in week 3 of the season. The PP has sucked ass for a long time - since last winter I believe. Edmonton is winning games despite lousy goaltending and a lousy defense. They do have the best PP in the NHL.Keefe has not materially changed the PP at all despite it failing badly. Sends out the top guys for 90 seconds, they skate around and create few shots but look very good untill they cough up a 2 on 1. And the second group Spezza and the plumber crew actaully do better in less time. This is on the coach and his staff. Pressure and shots. Pass Pass shot for me instead of Pass Pass Pass Pass button hook Pass, backpass to the dman, button hook lose the puck
- winsix
Doesn't that tell you, it is the top guys not performing? I don't think Keefe has a different strategy for the PP1 or PP2 units.. They should both shoot and create traffic in front.
Come on, bud.. You can't believe Keefe is telling Matthews PP unit to skate around in circles and then simultaneously tell Spezza's 2nd PP unit to only shoot. |

Bad luck that Jeremy Colliton couldn't be a part of it...
But seriously, I hope they can actually pin this one down, it's a pretty wild story.

Suggestion
1st unit
Matthews-Spezza-Bunting
Nylander-Muzzin
2nd unit
Tavares-Marner-Ritchie
Rielly-Sandin
BTW Ritchie led the Leafs in SOG last night with 5, more than Matthews, Tavares and Marner combined. Can't score without shooting -seems to be an underappreciated task in Leafland.

Agree, the top guys are all underproducing, they are 2-4-1 despite mostly excellent goaltending. Marner hasn't scored a power play goal in a season and he plays more on the PP than any player. Not only that he is on the point with a shot that's weaker that a lite hobo beer. Is it on the players to decide their roles on the PP?

Keefe has final control on his staff. What needs to happen is they need to remove Marner and Reilly from PP1. Other teams know they can shoot, so they only have to cover the other players. The play Reilly and Marner to pass, and if either shoot, they arent worried.
PP1
Nylander/JT side board
Matthews side board
JT/Nylander Bumper
Bunting net front
Sandin/Muzzin point
You could also consider moving JT or Nylander off the top PP1 and adding Spezza

They need movement. They were good when they were moving and the PK’ers were trying to respond. Everybody is a step ahead now because they’re predictable |
