Which to me is exactly the problem. With balanced PP lines comes balanced time, as it stands PP1 does not dominate the game enough to warrant being out 75% of the time.
PP2 (with way less money on it) is seemingly doing more with less anyways. 🤷🏻‍♂️ |

I said this last week, I guess we're blaming Galchenyuk, Bogosian, Barabanov and whoever else last year.

the downgrade from Hyman to Ritchie is like going from a brand new Mercedes to a 2nd hand Suzuki Swift.

I think it's like going from a Suzuki Sidekick (get it ..Hyman IS a sidekick) to a fat old elephant with diabetes.

Maybe you should make that about Matthews, if you question Marners play on here it's instantly written off as hating Marner. |

"I think that noise and that panic from the outside can't shake us — because there's no reason it should. It's still early, and we're still trying to figure out our game. Within the room, we realize, obviously, that we need to play better. But at the same time, it's not like the end all, be all. Like, it's not the end of the world right now.”
~Matthews

This... is very disconcerting. Like, how the (frank) does this team go through the summer, pre-season, and now 7 games into the current season and they're still trying to figure poop out?
That's a (frank)ing bonkers statement to make and just solidifies the notion that this team has no identity and that coaching and management has not made it clear just what the (frank) they're supposed to be doing.
Amazing. |

Still underestimating Hyman I see.
After the Edmonton Oilers have won 2 Cups over the next 5 years (after having addressed their goalie situation) Hyman will laugh about the constant undervaluing by Leafs fans.
The stories from Hyman on why he left the Leafs - in particular those on the bad locker room culture led by Matthews and Nylander - will be interesting. - MaximusAurelius
No chance ...not until they first trade for Woll to lead them to Cup. |

Marner used to fly through the neutral zone and he was so shifty he could back up the d with ease. Does every team just clog up the middle on us now?
Serious question because I don’t know enough to be able to tell what’s happening to us. We suck and I’m at a loss to explain it. |

Josh Anderson ($5.5 Million X 7) 325 games 82 goals 58 assists 140 points
Nick Ritchie (2.5 Million x 2) 357 games 57 goals 78 assists 137 points
Also Josh Anderson playing mostly top 6, Ritchie playing mostly bottom six.
But Ritchie sucks and Anderson was a great UFA signing.

You've posted a few times what these players and coaches have said in the scrums.
You said the Leafs need a new coach after what he said last night.
So I am responding to you for that. - Santo_44
What they need is a new coach a new goalie and to trade Rielly and Marner. |

Anderson wasn't a UFA when he signed his contract.
And the stats don't tell the whole story, Anderson had a season where he barely had any points because he played injured the whole year.
Love Anderson, every team would want a guy like him imo.

I thought we've established that the slow start is not on Matthews, Tavares, Rielly and Marner.. The fault lies at the hands of Simmonds, Engvall and Timothy Liljegren.. They need to be better. |
