problem is black ace aka John Doe, was outed in report by listing his age at the time....20 so it wont be hard to narrow him down quickly with past rosters, etc....
I am not touching it. I don't care who it is, and outing him does nothing at this point. - SteveRain

Agreed, they all but doxxed him. A limited number of people will "just have to know" and figure it out, but if it had gone to court, a whole lot more people would know.

Not in todays' society. I'll be shocked if either survives. Q maybe has a chance as it was pay grades above him, but still a member of his team.
Who knows...glad it's out and over with, as in no more speculation about it. - SteveRain
Unless you took steps to let others know outside the organization you are complicit in the coverup. |

Lastly, I'll say this....
as much poop I give this team and the Wirtz's I can say they did the right thing here. They hired an independent investigation firm, let them do their thing, report back, and made the correct decisions. Removing anyone in that room, and not fighting the law suits any longer by reaching out to settle.
They are no means perfect but how many times have we seen places dig in and cover up to hide this sort of thing? Looking directly at you, Penn State. |

Sorry, StanBo - this (assuming that McD would take care of it) claim might have worked if Aldrich was not still hanging around the team and the victim for weeks after you supposedly kicked it upstairs. |

Sounds like if there's a USA Hockey statement on this Stan Bowman news, it won't be until later today. Bowman is currently the GM of the US men's national team for the 2022 Olympics. |

No one should take joy in Bowman being fired...er resigning. I wish it was based on performance but knowing someone suffered because of his and others inaction...very sad. I think it's the right resolution but this is nothing to celebrate. |

As for the effect in Florida and WPG:
@mikeystephens81
Notably, the Blackhawks investigation reveals that Joel Quenneville & Kevin Cheveldayoff were aware of the allegations when they worked for the team.
Both have denied knowledge previously.
======
Lying to the press is not a crime, so that last point is a bit moot assuming they told the truth in the depositions. Depends on how much culpability for Aldrich being allowed to remain around the team they get, I guess.

Will his ego allow him to not respond to Stan's statement? His lawyers, however, are probably counseling him to shut his mouth forever on this.

F him....Met him on multiple occasions at season ticket holders events. I have NEVER met a more pompous wiener in my entire life....professionally and/or socially.
He deserves everything and anything thrown his way. McEgo wasn't pulled out of the sky, and I hope his mouth piece Barry Rozner, is eating a nice $hit sandwich right about now. |

There may not be fallout in Winnipeg and Florida, simply because of the fact those guys weren't the ones running the show. - breadbag
Obviously everyone knew that the Blackhawks probably woukd admit to some degree the mishandling of the incident. Who can say if most companies/corporations would try to sweep thus under the rug if they thought the evidence was weak or non threatening. I believed from the get go that McDonough used his influence and strongly suggested to Bowman what to do. McIsaac (guessing) and McDonough both are intense money driven brand loyal type whom would look first very hard to usher out the problem and either bs or challenge the claim. In the end maybe they thought the player would be too humiliated to carry through with a lawsuit
Whether it is a hedge fund capitalist, An independent laundry cleaner shoo, or a multiple McDonald's store owner, they usually are ultra aggressive and would praticly sell their mother down the river for a profit. They won't handle a wrongdoing lawsuit properly unless scared and worried it is a daunting worse burden if they ignore it
At the end of the day we all answer to whatever belief we hold. Making lots of money and brand loyalty supeecedes often. Just the facts officer Joe Fruday would say. And the facts often ignored |

Gary Bettman says in statement through NHL that if Jay Blunk, Stan Bowman, John McDonough and Al MacIsaac wish to re-enter the league, it will require a meeting with the commissioner in advance of them accepting a job. #Blackhawks
