I didn't get that complaint either. There is certainly a lot to not like but for me, that is not one of them.

He consistently says he hates a defenseman joining the rush. He didn’t qualify except for X, his “structure” would never let a defenseman join the rush. The problem is not the D joining the rush, it is the forward not covering when he does.

Thanks Sage, appreciate the compliment. So far so good, when the time comes, they make meds for that.

I have more of a problem with the whole damn team backing all the way into the goalie's lap.

I totally agree with that, even when they have numbers back, the defense just cede the blue line.

Gee - there’s that code word again - in a post without an argument of logic or fact.

Why am I not surprised….

I dunno, seems like a pretty effective encapsulation to me. Perhaps you don't like it because it is effective? Why am I not surprised?

Seattle raised a Cup banner - for the 1917 Metropolitans.

Well, better than Nashville, at least….

Then why isn’t it used when the right “cancels” liberals / progressives - calling them (ok,us) socialists, traitors, we hate America, we should go back where we came from (even if we were born here)?

OK, Mo - keep using it - instead of dealing with the real issues.

Code words are easy ways to do that.

Exactly and it was more to highlight that it is all pure speculation from all of us.

EDIT: Meant to comment on this yesterday but the whole its a locker room thing people were chatting about? To me, that is more along the lines is the answers are in this locker room. Meaning they can't be looking to coaches to solve their problems. They need to gel as a team and learn to trust one another. Its not uncommon for teams with so many new faces. Not to say there hasn't been some finger pointing but again, not all that unusual for a very frustrated team

- Elbows15

Good point. Could very well be true. With today's events, though, I suspect JC will not be around after the new GM arrives.

Take this political stuff to Twitter or private, please?

Not sure why you continue trying to bait people into your political arguements then cry when you know they differ from you.

McD didn't exactly get the issue to HR in a timely fashion.
- Elbows15

Instead he and Isaacson coordinated an attack on the victim. And the mental health "professional" should no longer have a license, not that it matters much to him now. Those guys actively tried to hurt the victim. To me, what Stan did (or more specifically, didn't do) pales in comparison. Yet he will be the one affected by the blackball more than those old guys.

But, it's a fresh start for hockey ops. It is Danny's show now; hopefully he is ready. I will be giving the new GM the same benefit of the doubt I gave Stan, and hoping for success.

(frank) that! I’m going to start questioning the new GM from the start. That’s what defines a good fan.

Yeah, and the emails that Gary sent to John Doe.

McDonough didn’t get it to HR for 3 weeks - trying to not create waves during the Final - but that isn’t promptly investigating, which is what should have happened.

Then (and I don’t remember the exact timeline) - even after that, Aldrich was allowed to attend celebrations and team activities, have his day with the Cup, and have his name engraved on the Cup. All of that should have been stopped.

And I’m confused by his termination. I’m reading that no one - other than HR - knew that Aldrich was being let go. Who did he report to? I would guess it would go up through the coaching hierarchy to Quenneville - but he indicated that he knew nothing about it, as did Bowman and McDonough.

Or am I misreading something?

Of course, I don’t think Aldrich should have gotten any severance or Cup-winning bonus. But I guess that came with “resign or face an investigation”.

- StLBravesFan

Giving him the benefits of a Cup winner was wrong in a big way. Agreed.

You would of hated Bobby Orr in his prime. And I guess you don’t like Victor Hedman today.

McD and McIassac not facing the music is shame

Was Al the GM that hired Peters in Norfolk and Rockford as well? Scum

That F-ing predator and these 2....disgusting. None of their names ever meant anything to the Hawks or the NHL. Legends in their own minds at best.

And the rest - Stan, Q, and other staff...such a shameful way to leave their legacy.

All for a scum 20 something year old predator. Sad.

I appreciate the permission.

People of all stripes have used catch phrases to shape their argument for generations. "Code words" is a great example. Well done.

Saw a buddy yesterday who had the surgery last week. He’s glad he had it done. Said he regrets going five years dealing with the discomfort and pain.

That's a great call right there. Dots' nephew Strome is a big winner in this. No wonder Dots was all giddy earlier.

Seems a common football injury the past 10+ years. Guys seem to try to play through it, and have offseason surgery. I believe the recovery is a few months (although the injuries are not all alike).

There is no rehab per say but it’s for a retired 64 year old. It will take him 6-8 weeks before he can resume his normal activities. I’m sure an athlete would recover more quickly and would rehab for it.
