Which, imo, is one of the main things a coach should be stressing. That is one of the biggest reasons I think JC should go. Its infuriating in every game, the other team always seems far more organized.
- Elbows15

I think the whole coaching staff is on borrowed time. I have spit balled on who I think the Hawks will hire as a GM, but considering Danny has bolstered the analytics side, I think the new GM will be someone who thinks analytics is important, like when Seattle hired Francis, and his first hire was the head of analytics. So I think it is going to be a fresh face, not a Tallon or Rutherford type.

You would have loved hockey in the early days when Dmen weren't allow to cross the red line. lol

Tired of seeing us 5 to 10 times a period rushing up the ice with 2 forwards and 1 dman.

I don't want to, either, just wondering why the different treatment.

To me, the dirtiest thing that the Hawks did was to have Gary victim shame. On purpose. Anyone involved in that is a pig. Stan got the issue to McD, and it appears it got to HR. But that isn't enough for the crowd. Just wondering why the exemption for some employees.

- mohel

Yeah, and the emails that Gary sent to John Doe.

McDonough didn’t get it to HR for 3 weeks - trying to not create waves during the Final - but that isn’t promptly investigating, which is what should have happened.

Then (and I don’t remember the exact timeline) - even after that, Aldrich was allowed to attend celebrations and team activities, have his day with the Cup, and have his name engraved on the Cup. All of that should have been stopped.

And I’m confused by his termination. I’m reading that no one - other than HR - knew that Aldrich was being let go. Who did he report to? I would guess it would go up through the coaching hierarchy to Quenneville - but he indicated that he knew nothing about it, as did Bowman and McDonough.

Or am I misreading something?

Of course, I don’t think Aldrich should have gotten any severance or Cup-winning bonus. But I guess that came with “resign or face an investigation”.

That doesn't really get better without surgery, tho.
- Elbows15

True maybe he doesn't want to have surgery if it is that. Have friend at and has a herina for over a decade and he says it can be bothersome and painful at times. But doesn't want surgery

Giving him the opportunity to resign was a major mistake. The investigation should have taken place immediately no matter the timing w/regards to the Playoffs.

It should be led by the coach. Why have one if not?
- Elbows15

Uhhh…I was agreeing with your comment that the players had to solve that problem by themselves.

Don’t backtrack on me - it just gives me headaches….

Saw a buddy yesterday who had the surgery last week. He’s glad he had it done. Said he regrets going five years dealing with the discomfort and pain.

Fine by me. Davidson may actually fit that mold. Who knows. I didn't know he existed until today. lol

There will always be some players who can excel at both. Who are given those liberties, but we don't have any of those players

Unless you think we do?

The best hands in NHL is fumbling pucks left and right, like you mentioned, it has to be upper body. A lower body injury wouldn’t impact hand coordination. He also appears to not have as much zip on his shot, maybe that’s just me.

Which Hawk emulates Bobby Orr? Which one is close to being Hedman?

If it’s a stomach issue it could. You need your core to stickhandle and shoot.

I think that’s right about Kane’s shot, but more, he doesn’t seem to be able to get it to go where he wants it too.

He used to be aiming for the upper corners, or the far post, or the short side. That takes care of the whole net (I don’t know the numbers anymore) except for right at the goalie, which is where almost all of his shots go.

McD orchestrated this cluster f and those who were in the meetings and did nothing after seeing no response from him after passing it up to him did so at their own peril.

Better him joining the rush, rather than staying back and trying to play defense.

He can do less harm 150 feet away from his goalie.

Thanks Sage, appreciate the compliment. So far so good, when the time comes, they make meds for that.
