Hopefully it means Jones is booted, too. He has no business on the team. There are at least 7 US d-men better than him.

So, that's how it is, eh? I don't give a crap if it is Stan or you, making up the rules years later to achieve a desired outcome is wrong in my book. I am defending what I believe is right. Sorry if that bothers anyone.

Shouldn't bother anyone. At least not me. I like reading all sides & interpretations. I don't know all the facts, but appreciate all perspectives. Helps me draw my own conclusions. We all have different definitions of right, from what I read, in how you & others wish to achieve that are two sides of the same coin.

Read the report. It probably contains all the facts to ascertain at this point in time given the lapse in time and human's generally faulty recollections.

Pass the buck Stan. McCub is certainly culpable here, but Bowman is a giant weasel for really not accepting his role in failure to report this to the PROPER authorities. I guess ole' Stanley was just following orders of his boss. (frank) off Bowman.

I would have so much more respect for this piassant if he would just OWN it. I SCREWED UP by not reporting it. When McDoffus failed to report it I SHOULD HAVE done so. Do THAT and you salvage whatever integrity you had.

No, it was something I recalled from a game when Panarin played his first few games as a hawk. Foley said that during the offseason, Hossa had watched him play & told Bowman to sign him.

Maybe the new GM can trade him and/or pressure him to leave, but he better do it before that NMC kicks in

Same way they do any time an NHL org has to get messy, lie. Say ‘other young D made huge strides we couldn’t ignore’ or give Seth an option to save face that he’s ‘taking this time to Nurse a nagging injury’.

All in all he’ll be on the team, he’s a very good defenseman. Anyone who’s watched a team other than the Blackhawks can see he’s talented. What 8 guys would you take instead of him?

Even if he’s on the team, he’s certainly not so good that he should’ve been the first D-man named.

Yes, everyone else is "collateral" damage. I doubt Stan would be out if they started off 6-0 and looked all world.

I tend to agree with this to some extent- It was much easier for Rocky and Danny to "do the right thing" with Stan and Mac Isaac after the debacle that is the start of the season. Buying them out in a settlement saves on the bottom line vs. a traditional house cleaning as well...

Maybe he did but I amsure he was on their radar before Hoss mentioning him. One thing the Hawks do right is their Euro scouts.
