So you'd rather have another bloated winger contract that walks in 3 more seasons and maybe wins us an extra 3-4 games/season than several young, controllable forwards that fit like a glove into our rebuild.

It makes no sense.

Putting the 2 best Americans on the same team... having to play them 6 times a year and giving them an extra million to work with all while Marner is off the book in 2025 and would just leave to go back to Toronto when the contract is over....

I'm kind of torn I want the Sabres to do well but I have an urge for the Sam and the other analytics guy to fall flat on their faces due to the exorbitant love shown them.

Even Jon Vogl , who used to be legit has been drinking the Kool-Aid over the last year or so. He described the last two analytic hires as "outstanding."

I would like to know who in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL has been classified as an "outstanding" hire before they show anything for their team or even in the league by a
supposed professional? If you could tell me that, that would be outstanding!!

I just believe professionals should put the breaks on the fawning love for administrators and say hopefully impressive, they have a very solid pedigree and background and bring a great experience but "outstanding" before they prove it? It's almost like these guys have their PR machine in certain parts of the Buffalo legit and illiget media. I don't think Scotty Bowman was labeled as outstanding by a supposed legit person in the media when he was hired in the various cities he coached in.

Sabres can toll his contract and/or suspend him and Eichel assumes 100% of the risk. It would be an extremely poor decision.
