I'm just going to present the 2010 and 2011 draft classes without comment.

The scouting was awful and the development wasn't far behind. But Christ Almighty this team couldn't (frank)ing draft, for the most part, for like 10 god damn years.

A trade is going to have to make sense for both teams, and I'm not sure Toronto would even say yes to that trade. Marner is whipping boy there, he's an elite talent and I am 100% down to bring him here and give him a shot being "the guy". Do we really think Kravstov or some mid draft pick is going to be better?

Darcy's trade record back then was way better than his later years. His drafting after like 2004 was abysmal overall.

I hope Jason and Sam can continue to find big swings in the middle and later in the draft.

We're always optimistic about draft classes, but I've had the same feel. 2017 is really shaping up, so is 2018. All of 2017 is in Rochester or Buffalo except Davidsson. 2018, the first 3/6 are in NY. Not sure about the last 3. 2019, the entire class may make it to Rochester at the very least.

The track record far exceeds anything Darcy and Murray did since Pommer and Roy were drafted.
