@MarkLazerus
Seth Jones: "100 percent this team has faith in Jeremy. I’ve been here a short time but his message has been great for us. ... This isn’t a coaching problem. This is a locker-room thing. The players on the ice playing the game."

A different cut of the same answer...so who has to fix the locker room thing and how is that also not a coaching (rallying the troops) and GM (right mix of players and character in those players) thing?

Is he saying that there is a problem among the players?

Did you not see the players drawing up the play for the power play?
- BetweenTheDots

Yes, I did and pointed it out earlier - why are you asking?

Pure speculation. Even IF Stan did have such a meeting with the players, he could, just as easily, had the same ‘come to Jesus meeting’ with JC.
- scottak

Yes, complete and pure speculation ("imagined") based on Dietz's tweet that there was a very long delay in the team coming out for the Q&A. I was just imaging what made both Jonny and Seth come out with direct statements of support for JC. Maybe they were asked a direct question, like Mohel said.

Players taking into their own hands, the players are going to say they are in full support, of course they are going to lie to us.

Sure sounds like there could be a disagreement on what type of identity the team wants to have. Maybe it's bigger than that.

Good point and quite possibly - I can't see the post-game here because it's blacked out in my area. Did both he and Toews get asked specifically about Jeremy and his coaching ability?
- pdx2ord

I'm not sure, but it would be surprising if they weren't. I'm sure they weren't given lines to read, but their responses fit your earlier speculation on Stan telling them to get it together because JC is staying.

But, who knows, JC could be gone tomorrow......

I can't recall the last time a player said he doesn't believe in his coach. Ever

The problem is the media knows JC isn't very good at his job. This is why they keep asking the players this question.

Who played well for them tonite?

Who has played at all well through the first six games?

The whole team - everyone, from vets to rookies - not one can you say has played to his potential, either scoring or stopping the other team from scoring.

Stop being a one-trick-pony with an agenda: this is a team disaster.

The media can’t even do their own job, and expect them to know hockey coaching.

I find it funny how daddy Bowman kept sending his spy down Barry Smith to report on Q...kept making him fire his assistants

Eventually running him out. Couldn't have Q breaking his record in CHI

Now they have these 3 jamokes, and nothing.

Notice how JC could not look into the camera when answering questions from the press. Totally defeated. Hope we would have played like the last two games he said. Really! The last two games we lost!

Huge difference tho - the owner knows the game from ice level and from in a dressing room and nobody had to convince him what needed to be done.

The Hawks have a much bigger problem - a front office that don't know sh$t from shineola.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the Hawks losing every game so far and not leading once.

Looking at the stats tonight, McCabe actually was +1

Overall, Hagel has brought it each night. I would also mention Kubliak and Kane has been producing while hurt.

As far as my banter against Jones, as I have said before he’s been nothing for this team. The hawks were better last year in the first 6 games with less talent. We gave up too much and paid too much for a has been.

Really? I don't remember that but if you say so. So 1 hockey player out so many others. It's a really really rare occurrence. I know when Johnston was hired all the Penguin players were saying the samething the Blackhawks are saying now, we have to play better, blah blah blah

I think this is accurate. Maybe Borgy and Kubalik have been closest, but it is a universal problem.
