I don't think the Icehogs play the same system defensively as Colliton. So Mitchell (for example) can gain confidance and development is good in AHL. Then if recalled to the house iof horror otherwise known as Blackhawks NHL....sigh

Bowman had the past few years - since the last Cup, really, to try to draft, trade, sign for the replacement of Keith and Seabrook. I think we all liked Boqvist selection. But he showed to be brittle and we have S Jones to show for that draft choice. Obviously you need good scouting and a too five - maybe higher- to select a dman. Detroit has what appears to be another good dman with a 4th overall to join their big blueline rookie

I still believe Mitchell will work out. Kalynuk OK. But they are probably second pair calibre. Until a coach holds players accountable and we have a #1 dman, this team will not be .500.

Which might be ok with Danny Wirtz because Stan won some Cups and it will just take longer to straighten out. This certainly appears to be the storyline

I think it's more like Stan is looking at candidates to replace JC, he has to be otherwise he'll be fired as well. They got CM Punk as a spokesman about getting back to their winning ways.

Reality check
Blackhawks since their last Cup: the good, the bad, the ugly. Not much good. A lot of bad. Now the ugly. How more ugly. Is the 2022 #1 lottery protected? Is there a stud dman in 2022 draft? But do we even have a shot to get him?

The state of Chicago sports teams sucks. For most part. Wh Sox kids failed. Can they get back up. Ptching is a big question mark. And hitting has some issues. Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks in poor shape.

I don't like basketball. Bulls gave up the future to be sort of good. Like maybe winning a round or two in playoffs. Maybe. Good coach. But I won't care or follow basketball.

The Chicago Sports World could make professional sports history tomorrow if somebody had some balls. Bears should be 1st to announce the FIRINGS of Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy.
Then, about an hour later, the Blackhawks should announce the FIRINGS of Stan Bowman and Jeremy Colliton !!!! ALL 4 NEED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY !!!

Pure speculation. Even IF Stan did have such a meeting with the players, he could, just as easily, had the same ‘come to Jesus meeting’ with JC.
