Matthews praised him postgame.

The chances the Leafs allow are always 5 alarm fires.

That’s why goalies are always getting hurt, or burnt out as the season/years go on.

Freddy is the happiest goalie in the world rn.

Hutchinson stank last night. It’s hard to say that Leafs would win without their top line performing but it’s pretty tough with a goalie playing like that.

You copy and pasted your negative outlook from the last blog when it was nearly done and because it didn’t get enough attention that upsets people you just had to try it again.

I just kept the convo going here, we always do that.

Change out passion for negativity and I believe you.

Are his alts banned or is there a conversation between the cartoon character and his alts forthcoming?

Not as bad as all the negative talkers

At least they’re true fans, the negative ones are just complainers and aren’t truly a fan of the current team.

- Dozzer

Didn’t you say something about if a coach were to move Ritchie off the top line they’d be stupid or dumb or something?

VALIDATED!

A noted protector of goalie rights admitting there was a distinct odour of limburger emanating from the Leaf net!

Don’t cry too hard when he’s back on the Matthews line tonight. Lol

My guess is it was a learning lesson for the game, and nothing more.

And he was replaced by Engvall and Nylander so you’re prediction it would be Bunting was wrong as well you self claimed know it all.

Agree, the guys that are paid to score need to score, he took a stupid penalty, won't be the last time, but he will be back with that line tonight.

We all know that the solution to the Leafs problem in net would be solved if they would only sign David Ayres

Do you find posters on here who are slavishly positive monotonous too?
- mjones242

The positive guys aren’t trying to stir things up. There are a couple of Vancouver guys that only come here when we lose and aa and them are in complete agreement all the time. And they don’t post in their own thread.

Yup, I personally believe that it was nothing more than a wake up call for all three guys

He’s going to have to pick his game up. He hasn’t been effective and he won’t stay on that line if he’s not. I get the Matthews just back but he hasn’t been good on the forecheck or in creating space.

But can you understand how the slavishly positive people and those who push the "it's only been 5 games" narrative are casually dismissing those who are more critical? It's dismissive and "triggers" those so-called "negative" types.

Hell, I don't even like being called "negative". That label seeks to diminish my critical voice as someone whose raison d'etre is just to "stir" poop up. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Sucks that Sid, Malkin and Carter are out tonight. Could have been a real star-studded game between these two after missing them last season.

Here’s the trick.

If you’re posting critical comments just make sure you mesh some positive ones in at the same time and then people won’t see you as purely negative any longer, it’s really that simple.

I don't want to bite on the baiting hook here, but Hutchinson was so bad that Craig Button called him out for allowing 3 goals that no NHL goalie should allow. Craig Button who is absolutely not a pro-Toronto guy at all.

I think Hutchinson made 2 nice saves yesterday. He allowed 1 absolute embarrassment of a goal and 2 goals that no mediocre NHL goaltender should have allowed. The 4th goal was completely not his fault.

Don't agree? Go watch the game again. We'll hear from you in an hour.

I can understand that. But for the most part the majority of the negative guys would be saying the same negative things even if we were 5 and 0. That’s just how they are.
Take the Oilers. Iggy and Jero are still there every day with the negativity.

All three were bad, Marner one shot, Matthews 3, Ritchie one, all three zero points. You need more than that effort out of all but Marner especially. He probably had twice as much ice time as Ritchie and did zip.

If the team wins, only the playoffs matter. We’ll lose then and trade everybody in the off-season. If the team loses, trade everyone now.
