Quinn all of a sudden looks like a stud and is outplaying Rossi(Short sample size)
- sabresfan69

I notice there are some minor league media on Twitter who didn't like Quinn not ready to like him yet who give all the credit for his goals to Peterka and Quinn is just basically a finisher. The Sabres need finishers too. Pride is a deadly sin and hard for some to swallow.

first road game while on a back-to-back playing a fast, skilled team...losing 2-1 in ot isn't the worst outcome
- Michael Pachla

I only watched the highlight reel of the game, heard the Devils’ analyst say the game doesn’t make it to OT without their goalie standing on his head all night.

Quinn needs development time and to continue to improve his skating, as he's already begun improving. His skill is beginning to shine through because of his strength and skating improvements. The guy you see right now is the reason he was chosen so high. I'm excited to continue to watch him play and develop.

Having Peterka as a guy who can help create space for him is a huge boon for him as well.

IMO, the most important issues for this season are:
- the Organization continues to string together the right moves...hiring talented front office personnel, strong development by the youngsters no matter where they are playing now, building out strategic tools, etc.
- the Coaching staff continues to lead with an eye that prioritizes the needs for the future and present...placing long-term success ahead of winning the game "tonight"
- continue driving the culture change
- players staying energized, positive, and focused on improving their respective game

I'M not worried about the wins this season...rather the overall growth of the core to take the next steps.

Solid take. Completely agree.

SPORTSNET: Elliotte Friedman reports Jack Eichel could consider filing a grievance through the NHL Players Association to force a resolution to his standoff with the Buffalo Sabres. He speculates that could happen within the next couple of weeks if he’s not traded before then.

- homiedclown

Isn’t Jacks recourse medical arbitration? What is a grievance going to solve when jack isn’t using the tools provided to him in this situation?

peterka is a bad man...that back-hand pass to quinn in the slot was a thing of beauty...but ya also gotta give props to quinn for finding that soft spot and finishing

this could be a lot of fun in a couple of years

Hopefully those two are 2/3 of a future number one line for us

I won't hold my breath on that but to have a second line of Peterka-Cozens-Quinn could be the 20's version of Vanek-Roy-Pommer with probably a stronger two way game.

Did anyone watch the Kraken vs Vancouver game last light? Their owner paid for all of the new arena and practice facility which was a billion for the arena and I think they said 125 million for a double rink practice facility and their offices. How much did they pay for the team and when will they make a profit, if ever? I wonder if Seattle gets the scouting combine from Buffalo with their facilities.

Spot on. We’ve had the talent before, just grossly mismanaged it

Just my opinion, because I agree with this line, I hope we keep them both in Rochester for the whole year and they light it up.
We have a terrible track record of not letting this happen.
Injuries will trump this, but just don’t bring them up too soon for the sake of bringing them up

it's looking like, at least for now, the drafting over the last three or four years will surpass any period post-04/5 lockout...possibly all those drafts combined

it really is...i went along with uncle terry's right to tank although i've always hated the thought of bringing in a savior for the franchise...i remember getting into a discussion with bakes and he asked me if i would teach my young son at the time that tanking is good...i said no, but it's the right of the owner to decide the direction he wants his franchise to go
