Having a strong immune system doesn't guarantee that one won't be affected severely, two examples: Jonathan Toews and Brandon Sutter. Things are not so black and white, while we argue with one another - the people actually in control are laughing their butts off that they're able to change the discussion from tax the rich to anti-vax. It's unfortunate, the people who get hurt are normal folk like us. The fact that people think the current Democrats are liberals are a joke, Bill Clinton killed the party and created a second oligarchy to protect the rich and the party has never recovered. There's a reason why when GOP gain control, it's ruthless tax cuts with no objections. When Democrats are in control, nothing happens and grinds to a halt. While we continue to squabble with one another, the wealthy are having the time of their lives. They continue to get people to blame the liberals and China - when they were the ones who decided to gut American manufacturing and embraced outsourcing - all in the name of profits at all cost.

Who knows what he’s really thinking, but you don’t need to be a scientist to be able to tell that something is pretty safe overall if hundreds of millions of people (many elderly with weakened bodies) are all okay after having not one, but two doses of a vaccine. If it was really some conspiracy, all of the elderly would be dead, not alive. I don’t even need to talk about any studies, the facts are right in front of us. I wouldn’t be here talking to you if it was deadly, my entire family wouldn’t be alive with me if it was deadly, and certainly the government wouldn’t be mandating vaccines. There are a lot of corrupt people, but I also like to think there are more good people out there than bad - and they quietly go about their business helping their communities and the world. This is a public health issue and if people just got the vaccine we could end all pandemic restrictions. Secondly, his choices affect the ppl around him. If he needs to go to a hospital, for any reason, he puts everyone else at the hospital at risk. He may have the choice to remain unvaccinated , but that freedom does not extend as far as putting others in danger. THIS is the point you either don't get, or just selfishly ignore. Either way it's disturbing.

Your first statement is factually incorrect. The fatality rate across all age groups is around 1.5% and borders on the statistically insignificant at younger end of the spectrum. Secondly, now that vaccines have been publicly available to everyone for over 6 months and most vulnerable age group, 65+ is nearing full vaccination status (the only age group where vaccination rates really matter based on the data), it’s no longer a public health debate.

The debate now shifts to personal choice as people now have to assume risk now that vaccines are widely available. That’s the crux of the matter. The rest of your post is just pablum.
