Well hate to say it but NHL coaches don’t agree with you
For instance, SJ started Reimer yesterday so they could have Hill for tonight - Dozzer
They sure don't. Still, in my opinion, starting Campbell in back to backs this one time while Mrazek is out is a good opportunity to bank some points.
Also, Reimer belongs in the NHL. |

Yet Hill is by far and away their best goalie.
You can’t expect Campbell to go through two hard practices and then two starts and survive the season. That’s essentially begging him to get exhausted or even hurt. |

I would hope for them to manage his practice load so he can be fresh for games, and give him a rest down the road when our other starter is healthy.
Anyways, point is that conventional wisdom has Hutch starting for us. It scares me. |

As long as keep winning, he can save all 1 of his goals for the playoffs. |

They do. They gave him a day off this week when the practice focused on shooting
This is not a part time job, you can’t expect someone to put in essentially 7 days a week at that intensity, being a goalie is especially not easy. |

You guys are counting like Hutch is starting. Goals so bad they count for two. - Barb34
I only 4 beers left. I hope it's enough for tonight game |

I'm thinking the Leafs brass are playing very cautiously with Mrazek out. They don't want to risk Campbell, who has a fragile past, this early in the season.
Lest we forget Hutch was 4-2-1 last year with 2.42GAA and .919S% and his QS% was actually higher than Jack's (yes, small sample set). He'll be just fine. |

So I wonder if Campbell is hurt too?
Start him back-to-back. This is what starting goalies do when they have to. - TheMussel
Isn't it better to star Campbell vs The Penguins over the Sharks I'd say. |

Our D has improved as far as expected goals against 2019 vs 2020 ( in terms of where we rank league wise )
Hutch will be fine.
