Not really. They are exactly what they have been the last two years. A team that feeds off the PP, The talent of McDrai and gets a lot of wins against bad teams.
If they can win in the playoffs once checking gets tighter and refs put away their whistles then maybe you can say the moves made a difference. Right now it looks like they are weak on defence and shaky in net just like always.

Not sure how anyone can defend that Keith deal. Maybe if Holland had got Chi to eat half the salary, fine. So far, his play has been excessively underwhelming. I actually haven't minded Ceci so far, but he is also an overpay. The Foegele trade and the Ryan signing were good work, but the defense looks bad this year because the almost 9 mil mis-spent in the off season.

They really need Bouchard to be the real deal sooner than later. Him and Nurse could be a real solid 1-2. Keep Barry on the 3rd pairing. The D would look better if this happened. Hopefully this season.
