i'm lucky that i've always had an aunt and uncle or some relative who lived in voorhees and now i happen to live in voorhees. people around this town follow it a little more because the team has always practiced in voorhees and a lot of the players have lived in voorhees over the years.

yeah but these people around here don't know anything. wel i shouldn't say that. i've been places as close as maryland that have less idea than people around here. but they only know the flyers. after the kracken/flyers game someone at work asked me where the kraken are from. they just don't seem to follow it.

they used to practice at the coliseum and i think there's a bar in there where pelle lindberg was drinking the night he died.

you can still see where they repaired the spot in the little wall he hit.

now they practice at the skate zone and i pass that on my way to work every day. every time i see a ferrari or whatever on that road i'm like "there's one!"

yeah it's a sucky story.

when i was a kid i was at some distant family member's christmas party and there was an old man there who had worked for the fire company at the time. he claimed the key was turned in the ignition and he thinks someone in the car panicked because he was driving so fast and reached and turned the key to the off position, which locked up the steering wheel.

i doubt it's even true but i think about it from time to time and wonder.
