Yea...they did that here in Cali. Incentivized electric vehicles until they realized that revenues were dropping. Now they want to tax you based on yearly mileage instead. About as regressive a tax as you could imagine because normal people are already forced into outlying areas just to afford a house in a housing market that's unaffordable due in large part to the regulatory environment. They won't ever stop. Madness.
