watched last night, pulling for the kid. He was not a factor in the game, just under 12 minutes of ice time, even for the game

I watched him a bit last night…didn’t think he looked much different then last year. At least he’s healthy I guess.

I made it for the first 2 periods of that game last night and he was pretty much invisible. Looked very similar to last year here. I've noticed that his minutes are dwindling too. He had 11 minutes of ice time last night and that's despite the fact that Vegas was without 2 of their best forwards. Guess they are becoming less impressed game by game.

Still think Sanheim needs to get stronger. I haven't seen a difference in his game yet. Only 3 games in. Hopefully he settles into his pairing with Risto.

He was bad in game one…he was much better against Seattle. Last night made a couple of his usual mistakes, but that’s really nit picking…I thought he was good over all. Again if he and Risto can form a solid 2nd unit, Flyers are in business. Because that first pairing is really, really good.

He’s a skilled player but doesn’t seem physically engaged at all….I to didn’t watch the 3rd.

the goal off his skate was not on him, that was NAK giving up the puck behind the net and causing the chaos. I think he is skating with more authority this season and his decision making shows more confidence. I think he will have a really nice season.

note to self, there will not be a ton of shut outs this season, so someone is going to score and someone will be responsible for allowing them to score. Lets hope we are the better end of the equation. The NHL is to fast to think D will not miss assignments or get beat

Couple of Gaffes…steady and physical for a good part of the game. It would be huge if he and Sanheim can for a solid 2nd pairing.

First game back from injury and is he 100%? I don't know. Initial impression is that I'll repeat a post I made last night. All the tools a defenseman needs from the neck down.

Outside of the gaffes he was fine, first game from injury like you said

I actually thought Sanheim played pretty well last night. I noticed him up on the play and creating havoc for the Bruin defenders quite often. He made some good decisions with the puck. He's probably not going to be real strong in his own end, but for the type of game he plays he was fine last night. That first Bruins goal was just puck luck. That really wasn't his fault.

He does…but I still have hope he can continue to get better. I still think he can elevate his overall game. For the Flyers to get to that next level, they need a solid Sanheim with the way the are currently constructed.

Yeah, not a good sign at all when they are down 2 forwards and his ice time continues to go down. Who knows if he will ever engage physically. If he doesn't I'm afraid he may not have a very long NHL career cause he needs to play that way to be effective. I haven't really liked his skating since he came into the league. Some folks disagree, but he seems slow to me. Watching him on an up tempo team like Vegas makes him look even slower.

I wouldn't say he was fine. I would say overall he was mediocre as was his partner. As was the first line. Too soon to make any definitive read.

It is a bit worrisome that he is a -161 for his career. That play he made on the Bruins second goal was brutal. You just can't make those kind of blunders at this level cause it will end up in your net every time. At least he was positioned right on the Marchand goal, but gotta have his stick there instead of just standing around watching. Not a good first game by him, but not gonna crucify the guy either. Just one game and Marchand is a sneaky little rat around the net.

Refreshing to see someone own up to something on this site. Or any for that matter. Haha.

I never question the start but I did have reserves about Jones after his pre season. It was one game but his performance last night was solid.
