There was battle in the blue earlier then it just disappeared. Wtf. It was hard in the blue, then he just stood behind Pearson in helping screen & deflect on the goal.

Gus was on the Hawks podcast today saying that when you are a new guy (whether rookie or vet) who's joined a team, you want to make an impression. So players being timid and overthinking because they're very worried about making a mistake and about fitting in with the group. Given the number of new guys we have could be one of the big issues.

All these players need is good structure, just watch us on our own end, i can't believe how many times 2 Hawks defenders are occupying almost the same spot, almost running into each other because of opponents rotation.

I know, and i was just watching that last rush with McCabe that's really gotta worry the opponent, 6 being one of the guys breaking out going the other way instead of playing defense down low

AZ - I know. Because he was #3 pick overall, Coach Tocchet tolerated him in the lineup for some games and then had him sent to AHL Tucson until he could be traded.

We are not asking Strome to be a banger. But last time I checked NHL hockey is a contact sport. Occasionally he needs to get close enough to an opponent to introduce himself.
