Gaudette gets put in the lineup on the 4th line and plays 10min - and does nothing.

If there was ever a spot to play Gaudette in the top 9, wouldnt this be it when mixing lines?

Instead, when JC shuffles the line up...he decides putting a guy that is a 13th forward at best on a LW with Toews and Kubalik, and not a guy with offensive ability in Gaudette, where he may succeed/help 5 on 5 scoring

Yeah, never thought stats like that would equate to losses. Want to see 5 on 5 play improve. Last game it did til the 3rd period. Hope for better this game.

Right but they have the personnel to play it this year. Why isn't our regular defense an extension of the pk, no ones running around chasing the puck, they are taking angles away, passing lanes away, protecting the house, and if they feel they have a chance to get to the puck they do. On that last goal 3 players along the side boards? No reason for that at all.

The maddening thing about Strome is that he gets so close to where he should be and then he pulls up. Over and over and over. If he just skated hard two more strides he could get to the puck or be in on the forecheck or be in a decent defensive position. He is in the vicinity, but that is just not good enough.
