did a tour there this year... have some good wines

- SMP8719

They do but holy shat has their prices shot through the roof...

Probably has something to do with the millions of dollars in upgrades to the facility there which look great and all. I was there in the Summer to snag some wines but passed on alot because of over-pricing. Bottles that were $27 bucks a few years back were in the 40-60$ range Okanagan wine is good and all but not that good lol

I'm in the industry, and it's crazy the prices.....you summed up my thoughts exactly. Pushing the limit and beyond for price to value.

My GF loves the ice wine from Volcanic. Good value on the dollar. I try to support Rollingdale, Little Straw as well they have produced some good wines especially Rollingdale.

Totally as I took a chance on some $40+ bottles and some were very disappointing for the price points. I get that operating costs go up for the wineries most likely every year...but man the value ratio to the dollar is disappearing a bit.

It's sort of crazy to be in a pool this year. Between injuries, covid19 protocols, suspensions, and teams like Buffalo, Detroit, San Jose, and Ottawa doing better than what we expected, it's going to be a weird year.

I can't dump Bertuzzi with how well he's playing, but he's out every time the team travels to Canada

This too. Guy has been a scoring machine but will sit 30 games this year. Tough call

So the Detroit game then, game 3?

If you’re going to be critical of the critics at least be accurate.

4 games into this season, but 539 games into Jim’s tenure (excluding playoffs).

Sample size…

Other Canucks GMs have won less than him, so he's got to be doing something right!

Yeah its time to sh&t or get off the pot. Even though four games is a small sample size. Remember the last time the Canucks had a winning streak - like 15-20 games where they were just dominating?? I don't? It's probably Sedin/Kesler era but that's almost a decade ago. DAMN that how fast 10 years goes by - that's scary.

I think we've seen glimpses of what Green wants this team to be but its just not even close to consistent enough. The biggest question is do we have enough of the right players to buy in and will the rest to follow?

I’m not panicking, I still think it’s going to take another year for things to come together. I’m just busting Neemers balls because he’s all over Myers (4 games in) but can’t fathom how fans can be critical of everything else (4 games in). I also think Myers is trash, but that has nothing to do with these particular 4 games.

We do...but our Captain is more focused on getting folks vaccinated to give a sh!t as to what happens on the ice. So there is that.

Just depends on how big you think the 'bubble' status of this club is. CGY and Van need to make the PO's THIS year not the next. Or sweeping changes? lol

0-3 Hawks tonight will we be a red carpet for their first W or will the boys battle?

Film at 11.

The pressure to win against Chicago will be so high. Seattle is home and resting, will be pumped for their home opener.

Green has a worse winning % than Willie D. The players might not be the problem.

Benning and TG have been together for years building this team. If they don't have the right players in place for the system they want by now, they're incompetent. If they have their players but can't get the results, they're incompetent.

Exactly. Give Green more and more capable players and the results are worse or the same at best.

I'm genuinely surprised they lasted this long. But I don't own the team and don't have money or assets to burn. Looking forward to fans back in the building though, so at least there's a voice that can't be ignored if this crappy start continues.

Ya, I don't get it either. JB must be a really good salesman + yes man, because there's very little reason anyone should get to clean up their own mess by selling off parts of the future for this long.

At least Green is trending upwards in his system logic. Starts the season off sacrificing the 1st line to get the 4rth line going. Now he's sacrificing the 1st line to get the 3rd line going. Evidence Green is "getting it".
