This will be the final season and they compacted the final 3 books into it............I will eventually read the series. Also, I will be forced to Read the Wheel of Time series and become that guy during the subsequent seasons

Not a big reader so I can't really compare so far. Guess they didn't have the audience to justify the money needed for another 3 seasons.

Has no bearing on what might happen this year. Many significant changes since then - both in terms of personnel and situation (example : Division).

Last year was a Cinderalla story - the stars aligned for the Habs. Anyone expecting anything close to a repeat (without significant adds to the team) is just dreaming.

I don't think anyone was expecting a repeat, one of the many controversial subjects today was if we should have expected the habs to be that bad this year, with the way they've played so far after 4 games.

Maybe I worded it poorly but I was mostly responding to "3 wins away from a Stanley cup".

What happened in playoffs last year is basically irrelevant.

So much has changed since then, that using the success last year in post-season as a yard-stick on where the team is this year would be a mistake.
