i typically shy away from the effort argument. i think it's hard for fans to gauge effort and players are just going to have low-energy days throughout a season. but when Jeff Petry calls out the effort in a game you entered 0-3 and got blown out by a poopty team on home ice... that's pretty solid indication that this goes well beyond the team's obvious shortcomings.

yesterday i saw a person walking in my neighborhood who was NOT understanding how the seasons change. they had a full length tan suede coat on with a hood pulled up and a face wrap pulled up to right under their eyes and a ski cap on under the hood. it was like 72 degrees lol.

we don't even get snow anymore. it's bullpoop. last year it snowed a small handful of times with no real good storm and the year before we got less than an inch of snow all winter. in new jersey! we used to get slammed every winter. storm after storm. you were lucky if the snow even melted from the last storm before the next one came.

someone's got a weather machine and i am mad at that person.
