Jack Hughes might have broke his collarbone.
The Devils look good too.
Props to Pegulaville, we have been high on them for this season. - sbroads24
It did not look good when he got up not moving his arm at all
The devil's said after he is day to day and will be revaluated but I wouldn't be surprised if he misses a good amount of time
And he started off the year real well, controlling play, 2 goals and an assist in a game and a period |

I was only able to watch the 3rd period last night...but the same thought came to me again as watching the previous 2 games...
This team and the atmosphere in the building remind me of an expansion teams inaugural season.
Not much was expected, but the coach has galvanized his players to play as a team with an us against the world mentality. It is complete with guys who have upped their play and taken on leadership roles...Girgs and Okposo come to mind for sure, but Dahlin, Tage, Mitts, etc. It is fun to see the excitement and effort the team plays with.
Keep up the effort boys! |

I have watched all the games and this team works hard for 60 minutes which is a major difference over past years.
Time to calm down. Remember Ralph’s start and if you can go back and read the board from that period. A lot of a§§ kissing going on then similar to now. Until I’m proven wrong I’ll just say it’s a super start and hope it continues.
I also think the system deployed here by Donnie is very similar to Ralph’s Team Europe system during the World Cup in 2016.
In the past the three main focuses on this team were Jack plays good we win, Jack plays bad we lose and who gets along with Jack. Now with Jack off or gone it’s just everyone focus to play hard. |

This burning hot start has caused a flashback for me...
Remember 3 seasons ago when the team started out hot as hell, and this board was debating if it was sustainable or not...with Fitz's infamous "9-2-1" quote ... only to watch it fall a part and devolve to a complete and utter mess.
I do, that was funny as hell at the time.
I sense the vast majority here have now taken arealistiv approach... this is awesome, let's enjoy it while we can and not have hot takes that the boys are ready for the SC. |

I think one major difference between this little run and that run is that we were doing it with mirrors in that run. The numbers said we weren't good and sure enough, we weren't good. That isn't to say that we're good now... it just means we played 3 games and the stats back up the scores. We easily deserved to win all 3.

Question..
Who is the Sabres player that has surprised you the most?
For me, it is Tage no doubt. Most startling is his 58+% on the dot.
Girgs and Okposo get a loud shootout as well!
Also, the GEO line's puck possession and shot share domination is quite remarkable. |

Like the wins, but I like the effort better. Puck pressure galore. They are playing as a team, able to roll 4 lines and 10 different players landed on the score sheet last night. |
