I don't think it was a dirty play, looked like he just tried to hold Jack up and keep him in the boards and when he spun the momentum took him down. Really unfortunate and I hope it's not serious but the landing didn't look good.

It’s borderline. He was riding Hughes back when he took him down. Have to make someone pay when that happens just have to be smart about it. Devils not losing much if Geertsen spends half his night in the penalty box. He just has to take someone with him so we don’t go short handed.

Yeah, maybe you're right. Used to how they used to play and nobody would bat an eye at that play.

Geertsen and Lauzon both gone for 15 minutes so I guess mission accomplished or whatever.

Was just thinking this is probably going to be Mercers chance at the top 6 depending on how much time Hughes misses. Zacha back to 3C.

Also, if this is something that keeps Hughes out for a while Boqvist is still waivers exempt. They may bring him up for a shot at the 3rd or 4th line center.

Team was drafted by a moron GM who went with a full grit/60 lineup. No interesting players on their team to watch and I have a good feeling their garbagemen will start gooning it up sooner than later.

They made a good point that everybody having to move around has really killed some of the energy too. Guys playing out of position and getting double shifted up and down the lineup.

Johnsson has been a bright spot though and really generating dangerous chances, if we want to look at some positives.
