Doz, quit it with the inflammatory rhetoric, would you?. There is no "hate" here. All I've been saying is that Ritchie is not up to the job of 1LW, and the management have set him up to fail. Btw it's not just me who feels this way. I get the sense you're a little defensive on this topic. - fifty__missions
Everything you talk about is based within negativity.
Nobody on that top line has done anything yet this year and you’re blaming the lowest paid winger who’s only job is to park himself in front of the net and play physical hockey (which he has done just fine)
You’re wrong.
Also if you keep trying to tell me or anyone else who disagrees with you how to behave and what to do and you’ll find yourself unable to post very shortly. |

4 games? Covid still happening. I rather the veterans take a little bit to get upto speed then have the team win the octocup.
They will come around. Building chemistry with new players and to be fair to a guy like Ritchie, its difficult to play with a superstar at Matthews. It will take a few games to get in sync. |

So a month ago Nylander belonged on the 3rd line for depth and to prove he could drive a line.
He plays well with Bunting and now Bunting should be moved from his line to help Marner?
Anyone else think some want to do anything to make Nylander fail so they are not proven wrong?
Matthews was flying last night and Marner has been pretty good the last 2 games. No need to move Bunting to get Marner going as long he and Nylander are playing well.

Buy a set, it's the perfect winter dinner party thing. Minimal prep, very little cooking, everybody gets something they like, works with white and red

Yup, it will get going. As I mentioned earlier today it took until last night for a line to be put together who has played together before, Spezza Engvall Simmonds
All 3 of the other lines were new last night, with Matthews back thats line one, with JT moving back to his line that’s No. 2, and the 3rd line has Kerfoot on the wing for the first time this year.
And they still got 41 shots on a hot goalie. They will be fine. |

It’s ridiculous, we’ve literally reached the point that unless the leafs go 82-0 there’s going to be posters criticizing anything they can.

Yup. On the d side Muzzin can take it easy. They truly don't need him to make the playoffs and I feel like he is pro enough to know when to elevate his game.

Bunting and Nylander have been great together. They’ve developed a nice chemistry on the forecheck and cycle. But don’t kid yourself, if management decides Richie is slowing down Marner and Matthews, he’s gone and Bunting seems like the natural replacement.
I absolutely don’t get the point about wanting Nylander to fail. Isn’t having two strong scoring lines a good thing? |

If Bunting continues his success with JT and Willie, I can't see them deciding to (frank) with that chemistry to help out poor AM34 and Mitchy-Mitch.
If the Ritchie experiment fails, it'll be time for Dubas to look outside of the org for a replacement. |

Agreed, I’ve been finding him trying to skate with the puck a tad too much to start the year. Lots of people blame Holl for a couple weak defensive moments but he was stuck against 2 on 1 rushes. I’d rather Muzzin just sit back and make that pairing a true stay at home defensive pairing. The forwards on this team are more than quick enough to come back and get the puck leaving less of a defensive risk. |
