Bunting will be on line 1 before long. Ritchie is doing absolutely nothing to influence the play around him in any meaningful way. Waits for the play to happen around him. Simply can't do that on a top line.

So, you’d feel better if they were in last place? Mrazek is out two weeks. Mikheyev is irrelevant, I don’t know what the slow to react means. What are they supposed to react to right now? And if you have some insight into the playoffs already, I hope you put them into the prediction thread. We’ll all be so impressed.

It’s not that aren’t real things to discuss, even though it’s early: Richie seems to be having trouble, JT is starting slowly, Kase isn’t doing a lot offensively but overall, they look pretty good.

I’m not really serious. Points at this stage are kind of a silly thing to worry too much about. I’m not worried about Marner’s play. I think JT has started slowly but played better last night. It’s all early and the team is doing well. The hyper focus on Marner is one of the most amusing things about being here.

I'm gonna try it with salt potatoes tonight

A recipe my cousin turned me on to

Boil new/fingerling/mini potatoes in water with way more salt that you would ever think it needs, drain with lid once cooked, stir them around in remaining salt at the bottom of saucepan once drained

The skin gets crisp and dry with a thin coating of salt, but the salt doesn't permeate into the potato so you get the juxtaposition of the salty with the mildly sweet

IMO he plays little like Hyman. Could take over but it's up to Keefe to play him as he sees fit.

Agreed. JT was actually starting to look better a couple games ago, he’s coming around. And Marner, like it or not, is primarily a setup guy and now the primary scorer just played his first game of the year, once Matthews gets the rust completely off in a couple games look out!

Doz, quit it with the inflammatory rhetoric, would you?. There is no "hate" here. All I've been saying is that Ritchie is not up to the job of 1LW, and the management have set him up to fail. Btw it's not just me who feels this way. I get the sense you're a little defensive on this topic.
