I agree with masks in general for fans, ushers, time keepers and that - but I do agree if the coaches are in the room with the players, on the busses/planes, etc., why wear them? They are in contact too much for it to make a difference. I’m sure there must be some logic with it but it makes no sense on the surface.
- Big23Questions

Yeah just the head and assistant coaches shouldn’t be forced to wear them but oh well

If the season ends up like this for them watch them end up with the first overall pick

And Arizona and Buffalo end up sad

- Dozzer

As much as I dislike the Habs, from the perspective of a hockey fan and for Shane Wright's future, he would be way better off playing for a team that mattered like Montreal than playing for a poophole franchise like Arizona or Buffalo.

I feel like the answer to that would be either Garret Sparks or Antoine Bibeau. Nothing to write home about happening there...

It was the same with Tavares and I’m not saying anything needs to happen in any time period. The team is doing well, Matthews is just back and no one is panicking. IMO, Richie is one of the few weak points so far and hopefully that turns around.

Wow, did i call this one.

Elliotte Friedman on 32 Thoughts article: “Morgan Rielly’s free agency gets the attention in TOR, but it won’t be long before attention swings to Jack Campbell. Cal Petersen’s three-year, $15M extension in LA raises the bar if Campbell continues to carry the load.”

Do they really need 3 11M cap hits? Matthews is their best player, and Tavares has a NMC. Just saying.

Wright is a generational talent. You definitely don't want him going to a team in your division, let alone a rival.

Montreal, Buffalo . . .

(frank) that noise. Send him to the desert.

Petterson being 27 at the start of the deal and JC being 30 chips the value down for sure.

But regardless...If Soup plays well enough to warrant that contract then pay him. I'll take the 1.65M for two stellar years and then pay him what he deserves.

But if Campbell gets that money the Leafs probably have a pretty great year...
