ok, well how the hell do you foresee Price requesting a break and getting help, as he did? that alone has a huge impact. - Pat1993
1/ They knew Weber was done
2/ They knew Danault was gone
3/ When Price agreed to be available for the draft, the Habs had to know something was up, and they certainly did before they publicly claim they knew.
4/ They knew KK did not want to come back, and made lowball contract offers to almost make that happen.
At any point when these occurred, the Habs could have changed their approach to reload for down the road, but instead, they went out and got 4th line plugs, a winger that really does not fit, and traded a #1 pick for a center that is not going to make them that much better (ie: a playoff team).
But the Habs blindly had the "anything can happen in the playoffs" philosophy, but forgot you actually have to make the playoffs for that to work.
Anyways, just beating a dead horse - going to be the same conversation for 78 more games.

It has an impact but it’s not like Allen has been horrible. The lack of goals from their so called goal scorers is more of a problem right now |

I will keep this on the clip board to post for the next game.
Will be less frustrating than having to type it all out again.

I agree with all of this. But I think they had to get a centre of some sort. You can’t have Suzuki out there with no centre’s behind him. That’s not great for his development. |

Fair enough, but he did not have to give up a 1st, he could have gotten a lesser quality vet center for a lot cheaper, especially if it was a salary dump.

Allen has been fine, but Price has this quiet leadership going on, the team is more confident and plays differently when he's in net. but yeah I agree the offense has been inexplicably horrible. |

No that’s fair, it will look bad if that’s a top 5 pick. Not sure if it’s lottery protected or not. |
