While walking my dog the other day I talked to a guy with a leaf hat and jacket. I joked about him being an eternal optimist and that I was lucky to see my team finally win not one but three championships. I said now we have to go through hard times of a rebuild. He said after three cups you can endure a rebuild. I just laughed and said it’s actually worse now then before they began to win.

You notice that on the blog. The more "seasoned" fans are much more patient, the newer ones hadn't endured 50 years of good teams, bad teams, heartbreaks. etc., and no cups. Sort of the same with Cubs fans I would say.

I would venture to guess that if you look at the stats over the last two years instead of the last three, those numbers get notably worse.

Strome came in strong immediately after the trade. The last two years (when he has had more opportunity) his numbers have gotten much worse.

Strome did have a decent preseason he was going to the net and he was fighting for loose pucks but if he gets comfortable does he continue that or does he go back to the dainty keep away game again? Give him a chance it’s not like there’s no one with a spot locked up.

Think so too as from what we've displayed over 3 games and after a decent preseason, why not insert him over Gaudette, Carpy or Hardman.

I did too, and he has chemistry with ADB. Now ADB is going to play with Borgstrom and Hardman. Why not put Strome with ADB and Borgstrom? Is Hardman that much faster than Strome? Definitely not close in offensive ability.

Gotta think there is a Strome trade brewing, but whoever it is needs to find the cap space or be willing to trade what the Hawks want or need - maybe a veteran defenceman.

And as much as I dislike his turtle pace style of play, I agree give him a start and sit Gaudette.
