Typical Ghost. He has 4 assists on the season and still manages to be a minus 2 for the season. Dude needs to score at least 65 points a season to be worth all of his issues in his own zone. Good riddance!!

Typical Flyers fan. Are you just making an assumption here or do you have the actual facts? Unlike you did, I watched the goal highlights for every single goal the Yotes have given up this season. They've given up a league high 16 goals in 3 games. Do you know how many were from Gostisbehere making a mistake in coverage or from a turnover or any other kind of mistake? One! One out of 16.Their goaltending has been comical in the 3 games.

the nature of the injury. They were thinking about surgery at one point which tells you the seriousness of the injury and f he got it that would cost him the season I think they decided against surgery for now since they have time to see how it heals, i.e. if it's not healing they can opt for surgery and be ready for next season. As a result I am not expecting much of anything from him this year. Like I said I hope I'm wrong.

The nature of the injury is that he has a high ankle sprain which is not a season ending injury. You didn't offer anything here but poorly thought out speculation. There is no indication or reason to believe that he will be out for the season.

Ummmmm, I watched Ghost's game in his own zone for like 5 years. That's all I needed to do. It's called the eye test and is a much larger sample size than 3 games in Zona. Thanks!

That Kyrou goal was off a terrible turnover by their forwards at the opposing blueline while the D were changing behind them. Ghost had just jumped on the ice, raced back into position, but Kyrou faked and used his momentum against him, and Ghost got walked around. Ghost could have played it better, but he was put in a tough spot there.

Hysterical. So you admit that your making a baseless assumption.

All true but Gostisbehere played that about as bad as you could. Their goaltending has been comical.

Quite frankly I don't have time nor do I care enough to actually watch highlights of Ghost's games in Zona! He's gone!! I just look at stats and make an assumption that he is the same weak defensemen that he was here for 5+ years. Funny how that works.

All of this has already been established and is quite typical. It is funny how it works in a sad pathetic way.

Honestly, you don't have to know that much to point out rhetoric unsupported by facts.

Ellis is exactly as advertised. A smart well rounded player who does a lot of little things well and can play in any situation. Gotta love that beard. He is the type of guy that makes other guys play better around him.

Provy is a prime example of this statement! Provy looks like provy from 19/20. Ellis solidified that top pair and you can see it in provy so far this season

And all we had to do was dump Patrick and add Myers to sweeten the trade. Hands down it was a solid move by CF

I really don't know what the argument is? The fact is that Flyers management made a decision to part ways with Ghost and Voracek. A decision that I whole heartedly support given the fact that I wanted both gone for a couple of years. They will both most likely put up pretty stats to appease folks such as yourself, but you don't win chips with guys like that. Yes, there will be aspects of both of their games that the Flyers will miss, but I am basically showing my support for their decision to part ways with these 2 guys along with Patrick.

Hes a chuck critic so get used to it. I couldnt care less if jake has a carreer year. We know how he was, and was time for him to go 3 years ago. I liked Ghost, but he was a liability....maybe if he was the 5th D on a team with a great top 4, then he would be useful, he offense is dynamic.

There is no argument. You made a claim about Gostisbehere's play this season when you clearly haven't watched a single second of his play this season. You made an unsubstantiated claim. I just simply pointed that out. Nothing to do with anything you've said in this post. This is just your attempt to spin out of it. This particular conversation is well past finished as far as I'm concerned.

Did this conversation actually ever start? It's you talking down to someone as usual like you're the king of the hill here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion regardless of whether you agree with it. I'm not a stats guy. I go with eye tests and such. Different strokes for different folks. I will still follow Ghost's and Voracek's careers to a point, and I wish them no ill will, but I'm glad they're gone cause my eyes had seen enough.

The eye test involves actually watching. Otherwise as you illustrated, it doesn't work very well.

I guess we aren't communicating well here. I watched Jakey play for basically 10 years and Ghost play for 5 years. I did plenty of watching of these 2 players and I know quite well what they bring(and don't bring) to the table.

I have had this injury, and have seen this injury in many other hockey players. That is what I am basing my opinion on. It is well thought out and based on experience. If Allison comes back this year and plays as well as he did last year or even better, I will be very pleasantly surprised.

Now you're just making it up.

Name one player that had this injury and missed an entire season?

The cap price is very affordable for a top pairing guy. He is pretty cheap. His play will decline some but that price will look fine in three or four years seeing what these kids are getting now a days. I think the last year or two could be tough. Hoping his game can age well.

I always hope their games age well but I am with you that it may be a burden at the end of the contract but that could have been why he was available. He makes provy better and that in itself has value as well.
He's been solid. I live in Nashville so I've watched him play for years. I was ecstatic we got him for what we did.
We have 4 or 5 good years ahead.. probably 4 but I have my flyers glasses on this seaaon

Well I was super high on him when I heard the trade rumors heading to the trade deadline. I was so disappointed when it didn’t happen then (for obvious reasons it didn’t happen). Then when Chuck pulled the trigger I was driving and about drove off the highway when my wife dropped me the news. Haha. Yeah, I got some Flyer glasses on right now. But hey, it’s more fun this way.
