So Hamonic has been placed on leave.
And is being given time.

I hope he recovers and is able to rejoin the squad later in the year.

Unless someone is throwing out an AMAZING offer or the Canucks have really fallen out of the playoff race, I think you keep JTM until the summer. It'd be a bit of a kick in the Richard to the team if they're heading into the playoffs and you trade one of their top line assistant captains. It also gives Klim a full year in the AHL.

Offers are usually good in the summer as well around the draft. I've been championing the trade JTM thing for a while. Get a pick and a younger solid RHD back would be ideal.

Agreed.
I haven’t liked JTMs attitude and body language.
But we finally got some forward depth.
We will not be dumping him this season.

Klimo scored a couple but his defensive game is cringe worthy. There was still talk after his first goal if scoring is enough to keep him in the AHL and not junior regarding how poorly he played without the puck. Scoring or not, he needs time and isn't making Miller redundant by any means.

Slow down...

I'd rather have anyone else than Miller at this point, I rag on Hughes for his lack of defensive ability but Miller is just a goddamned turnover machine and then gets pissed at everyone else over it. I only use Klimo because he looks like he would fit on the top 9 (if only offensively) but I would be fine with someone else and the money saved (along with Hamonic's) could easily be used to resign Boeser and maybe get a replacement for a RHD in the top 4.

As long as Miller wins the Canucks games like he's already done, then I can live with his poop attitude. Don't know if I would have an A on him after what I saw last season though.... but what do you expect from Green?

I didn’t watch the second game but apparently Klimo was strong defensively. Anyone watch?

Miller has been a great mentor to young players like Pod etc. That’s why he has an A. I’m sorry that his mean launguage is upsetting to some

I actually think the reason that he is on his own line is Podz, he has decent chemistry with him and I am curious to see how that line plays. He does have very demonstrative body language but he will hit his stride soon, he's pressing a bit once he relaxes he will be fine. I am not worried with the added depth we will be left with options either at the deadline or draft if we want to move on there will be a list of teams interested.

He wants to win and plays with a fire.
If he can teach the kids like Pod to play with intensity, then great.
He was mentoring Virtanen too tho, for whatever that’s worth.

No one is upset about him being too mean I don’t think.
It’s the giving up on plays, stopping skating and looking up at the rafters that is frustrating

I watched but it wasn't a great broadcast . Mostly hard to identify the numbers and the broadcaster didn't have a clue to who was who on the Abby team. He kept referring to them as the Abby player.

I don't know about mean language. I guess you get that vibe... but I'm talking about his careless play and attitude about it in general.

I'm all for leaving him on the top line with Petey.

If Vasilevskiy doesn’t play well in beating the Capitals, would the Lightning still have faked another Kucherov injury in order to clear cap space to trade for Eichel? The latest, on my Substack:

Fans are used to quiet good boys on the ice. Like the Sedins and now horvat who they mentored. Miller is different, he is loud and hates losing. I don’t see a problem with it. Elia’s is similar in a way

the theme that I have been noticing, is that we have been so charmin soft for the last decade, that when we get a player who is gritty, we worship the ground he walks on. We then get another player who is gritty, and we start to think that one player is expendable, but the reality is, we need way more players who are gritty than just a couple. If its about building a new culture, then it can't just be one or two players.

We need more Millers/Garlands/Hoglanders, not less. I want teams to hate the Canucks every single night much like Detroit did last game.

Lockwood is a lock next season. More agitating sandpaper. He already dropped the gloves for Abby. He's a pr!ck to play against.
