Bunting is looking like a good fit with Nylander. I'm thinking the KKK line would be pretty nifty as a shutdown line with some offensive upside. - mjones242
I'd go with 3K line instaed |

He doesn’t have to be with Engvall. Spezza does the draws and flips to the wing letting Engvall handle the center duties during the play. That’s how it’s been done when those two are on the line together so far anyways. - Dozzer
Spezza is definitely an excellent FOWer and you're right, Engvall has the speed to switch positions with him after the draw.
Having said that, I'm really not sure how or where Soup really fits these days. Something has got to give and I'm wondering if Kerfoot may be the guy they move out to create some cap flexibility. |

Yep, exactly this. IMHO of course. - Barb34
Hopefully there’s no major injuries allowing the leafs to hang onto everyone and keep them in the lineup lol |

I think Mikheyev might have been getting groomed for the second line so they could trade him for a better return.
Maybe that’s why they didn’t want to trade him in the summer. Next to no return at that time.
Get him healthy, move him for a late pick so they can have a 13th forward and a 7th d man |

Barring injuries, Mikheyev will have a tough time breaking into the top six IMO when he returns.
Ritchie Matthews Marner
Bunting Tavares Nylander
Kase Kampf Kerfoot
Simmonds Spezza Engvall - winsix
Considering how hard pressed against the Cap this team is...you know UoT goalie and all...somebody needs to go so the team can add a small cushion of Cap space.
My guess is Micheyev gets what he asked for...a trade, add Engvall and you save almost $3M.
And it wouldn't be Kerfoot, he's way too versatile and needed in the line up when injuries do happen.
Reminding you guys that Amadio is a C/RW, the line up ends up:
Ritchie, Matthews, Marner
Bunting, Tavares, Nylander
Kerfoot, Kampf, Kase
Amadio, Spezza, Simmonds
Rielly, Brodie
Muzz, Holl
Sandin, Dermott
Liljegren...called up when needed
Campbell
Mrazek
Hutch...called up when needed
$3M in cap space for quick acquisitions or TDL pick up with any other saved $$$ from IR/LTIR |

I'm not trying to be funny and I'm not trying to be racist and I'm not pleased at the low-grade accusation.
Having said that, I'll refer to them as this going forward:
Kerf-Kampf-Kase
I'm not a fan of calling that line "Special K" though I do like the cereal. - mjones242
it’s “der kampfgruppe”😡
it’s an old term that predates the 3rd reich👍🏿
it just translates to “battle group”.👍
in modern terms it’s a task force👍🏿 |

Me too, I read he was injured and then I check another site and they had him in the lineup. - Garnie
I have Ritchie, Robertson, Suzuki and Kakko for a combined 14 points + I forgot that Puljujarvi existed...
Have no idea how I've got 318 pts |

Move Mikheyev for next to nothing if that’s all they can get
Then have Amadio as the 13th and Liljegren as the 7th
And why do you keep spelling Amadio’s name with an R? Wouldn’t it be more fun to simply switch the I with an E and start singing? |

reilly has never made a difference when it counted
otherwise, the laffs would have a championship or two by now
they have plenty of fancy sk8ters who can score
our loafs have been missing 1 or 2 impactful defensemen for decades
build from the net out as it were👍🏿 |

#LeafsForever Jack “Soupy” Campbell currently sits on top of the leaderboard as the best goaltender in the league with a .968 SV% and a .86 GAA through 3 games.
Starting tomorrow, media tweets....
"Can leafs afford campbells new contract"
"Campbell could be offered sheeted"
"Who do leafs trade to sign Campbell to 100m deal?"

Why would we possibly take out one of the very few guys in our line-up who can seriously skate the puck out of trouble when we're pressured in our end.
His only blip so far was the cross ice pass in the Sens home game that led to a goal.

I’ve noticed he’s getting over-skated by opponents when he’s retrieving the puck in his own end a bit this year as well. I mean he’s 27, maybe his speed is starting to get a touch slower now.
Even if they don’t trade him if he’s looking for anything over 7 million for 5 years tops let the guy walk |

Nobody really builds from the net out, otherwise the top picks in drafts wouldn't always be scoring forwards, especially centres. Build from the centre is what teams actually do. |

That was the only blip that led to a goal. There’s been a bunch of times when he either failed to get it out of the D zone or into the offensive zone. |
