yes, I generally take the time to make sure my posts on here are well-structured. I do this because when losers with English degrees have no comeback they generally attack grammar, spelling etc... However, while posting on my phone I am not as careful and slip up, so those losers with English degrees can say they've had a good day. - mr.peanut
ooh that one got to you

Nobody here has confidence issues unless all this aggression is a defense mechanism...but I can't see that happening - Takemedrunkimhome
Also, I understand that our medical staff sucks but it's 2021, they can rebuild your knee with with a dead guy's ligagement, I don't think carreer ending injuries really exist anymore unless his spine liquified during the playoffs. |

Pretty sure a clean break is better for Montreal than a veneer for the fans but to each their own. The Habs aren't losing because Weber wasn't there in person, players like Gallagher aren't holding back leadership because they don't have a C on their jersey and this whole conversation is both crazy and amusing all at once. (You're welcome Kick)
In an incredibly simplistic view the Habs are losing because:
They are weak down the middle
They are weak throughout the d core
Their special teams are awful
Until some completely unknown time in the future their goaltending tandem is Allen and Montembeault which is an incredibly weak tandem
It isn't (frank)ing complicated - Takemedrunkimhome
don't get me wrong. it's entertaining. |

I never linked the loss and the no-show. More like dude you are still the captain in theory, still on the payroll, coming off a stanley cup final. He's not Russian it's not like he has to cross a border to get here. Would have been classy to make an apparence.
How and why they suck on the ice and is a whole other debate. Maybe leadership is a small part of it but all those points you stated are clearly more concerning

The body breaks down as we age and regeneration and recovery aren't what they used to be unless you're Tom Brady. At some point the combination of effort/pain/rehab combined with the declining results one would expect to get from an aging player makes a comeback somewhat pointless unless it's about ego. Any time people talked about a Weber return I assumed it was in jest because I figured people recognized the reality the party was over and Weber went home |

I think every joint, ligament, bone and muscle is (frank)ed on one of weber's legs. |

Why hide it then? Are they scared Dale Hunter is going to try to target that injury in alumni games? |

Fair enough. I see no real benefit to him being there but who knows...hell who knows if he was even invited? I'm not sure he wants to be associated with this mess |

I remember EE saying he was broken and MB saying it was a whole body injury. Guy was a warrior, loved to cheer him for it and happy to let him ride off into the sunset without the pomp and circumstance BS |

I don't think they hid it. They talked about how badly injured he was and had been all year. If the argument is about money and Nashville I think Montreal is playing along simply so that Weber gets paid and they can have some LTIR manipulation room if needed |
