Ironically their home game Thursdsy is against a coach whom is very big on structure and responsibility. That would be Barry Trotz and the NYI.
Maybe a team like that is what Colliton tells his players "has been successful because of structure. that is, applying what the coach says about responsible play and winning as a byproduct largely due to a sound system.(Believe it)."
A side note: What dman scored a hat trick vs Chicago in a Sunday matinee @Chicago
R Pullok
LATE ADD: The Pullok/Pelech combo is ranked as the best in the NHL, according to The Hockey News - jhawk59
Had the Hawks let Quenneville go in the summer of 2018, instead of 15 games into the next season, perhaps they could have gone after Trotz before he went to the Island.
People on Twitter comparing (unfavorably) Fields (after what, 4 games?) to Trubisky. I almost expect some to go after Candace Parker and the Sky. We Cicago sports fans are a (frank)in’ crazy group.

The Hawks actually have a chance here because the other 4 dmen on the Isle are lost in their own end right now. |

From Phil Thompson in today’s Trib:
2. The Hawks aren’t the only ones going through a slow ramp-up. Patrick Kane says he is too.
Mind you, this is the same Kane who had a goal and an assist Saturday against the Penguins and two assists against the Devils.
“I felt better as each game has (gone) on,” Kane said. “Sometimes the start of the season is a little weird. I’ve never been a great preseason or training camp player.
“For whatever reason, I kind of feel out the games. I’ve probably got to dictate it a little bit more and take over at certain times.”
He has an undisclosed injury that he has dealt with for some time.
Colliton noted after the Devils game Friday that Kane wasn’t quite himself.
“He can play better for sure, but he’s also a guy that can make a difference in the game, made some pretty nice plays at time and that’s what he gives us.” |

If he were in charge of the PK last year.....
Wasn't there some kind of scandal attached to him a few years ago? - mohel
He's the coach who sent Bertuzzi after Moore. |

Name four dmen whom experienced success under Trotz as NYI players, but whom have gone on to other pastures (teams):
Hickey (actually I think on farm team for NYI)
Leddy
D Toews

Who gives a rat's a$$ about baseball? Why are the Braves playing their home games in Atlanta? I thought the MLB didn't agree with Georgia voting laws. Rob Manfred doesn't deserve the time of day, what a wussycat.

The post was in response to Mohel about fandom, not about baseball. I guess you don't give a rat's a$$ about the NFL, NBA, women's soccer, etc. either?

I don't recall the specifics, but there were a bunch of them out there a ton in the frenzied finish of regulation. Don't know one way or the other if that meant they needed time at the start of the OT. No reason for Gus to see the ice, though. - mohel
If they did, after the 3-4 mins pause before the ot, thats just another problem with this team. That was all Coach.

Here is an interesting poll question and I couldn't guess what the board's answer would be. We have our own T Foix polls now and then, but he could get a questionable response if he called it a FOX poll (too confusing with the news media network). So as yet Theo could just call his poll the Blackhawks Theo poll?
Q: will the Blackhawks come out charging into action like a Dessert Storm? Or another opening disaster? |

Well i think right now Chara is too old, dobson is still green, and Mayfield and Greene get more minutes by default. Toewxs is solid, and Leddy is kind of like Murphy to me but much better skater.

I’m not on Twitter but like you think that’s more than a bit unfair.
Fields misses spotting a wide open Robinson, but I think he can throw a ball beyond
10 yards and beyond 20 that is way more accurate than Mitch could.
Baby steps and they need to be putting up more pts period, but…I think the phantom holding call on Mustipher (Musty?) that erased Herbert’s TD run in the red zone was the kind of thing that would have completely derailed any attempt at scoring. To see them end that drive with a TD was encouraging. |

It would be nice if they just respected the opponent and played as if they don't have possession, which they usually don't anyways |
