In total fairness, maybe Toews was temporarily gassed and couldn't perform out the gate. So many variables involved. All I'm saying is that it doesn't bode well for the future. If you can't recognize the need for Kane and Johnny T together, you're not very bright. Or worse, could care less.

If the team wants to hire a guy who has no coaching experience, why not hire Marian Hossa? He will demand respect from the guys in the room for sure. Provided he would want to coach.

In all seriousness, I think the idea of a long-time assistant of a consistently successful NHL coach might be the best option - wasn't that how Sullivan and Cooper got their start?

Both the Hunters Dale behind the bench and Mark as GM I think one of their Daughters works for the FO right now maybe Marks .
They would build a hard nose playoff ready team in no time .

Perhaps not, Ogi. But they still seem to know where the other guy is at. I'm just scratching my head determining how something happened that could POTENTIALLY piss off a wide swath of guys. Very few even appear to be going full throttle. What would a hockey team mutiny even look like?

What has Yeo accomplished that makes you think he’s a good selection? If I remember correctly St. Louis became a good team AFTER he was fired.

I didn't say he would be good I'm only saying his contract as an assistant coach would not stop him.

Do you think the Flyers would release him in season? Plus I wouldn’t want him anyway. He wasn’t very good in Minnesota, and his stint in St. Louis was worse.

Many of the guys no longer posting here were complaining as the Hawks were winning cups. Quite frankly they were idiots and their comments couldn’t be taken seriously.

With all the fan pressure, JC will probably be gone. But this is the exact same problem that was here in the last two seasons under Q. Most Defensemen unable or unwilling to play defense. Most Forwards unable or unwilling to play defensively. There’s no reason for me to think another coach is fixing that.

Bowman raised expectations this off-season by abandoning the rebuild and bringing in Jones and MAF. And Jones doesn’t bring what the team needs most, strong defense.

Let’s say the Hawks win the next five games, they won’t be as good as they appear and they are not as bad as the last three games. My biggest concern other than the forwards not playing defensively is that in 180 minutes of regular time I’ve only seen the team play three minutes with intensity and passion in the last three minutes of the Jersey game.
