Happy to get a point from a horrible Hart outing.

Game 1 but Thompson is slow and he didn’t dominate face off, made him useless. I’ll give it a couple games but they need to upgrade. Crazy bounces and the soft leaky goal on Hart but I think he can build on it. Sanheim was not to blame on the leaky goal, when is the last you skated and tried to pull a puck like that off the goal line.

Side bar- I do think CF has continued to stock the farm and a few prospects could bring speed and scoring.

The Flyers have a good number of young goalies. Not the least Fedotov in the KHL, huge and seems to be doing well. This is not Harts net if he can’t be a top 10 goalie.

They need a legit superstar we don't have anyone close to one of those.

I don't post much and everything has been said. All I can add is thank goodness for Ellis, it's too bad JvR didn't get shipped out, and I am BEYOND DONE with Konecny. He lucked out on the rebound coming to him on the pp -- I'm just seeing nothing from him (or JvR) and I see no bounce back year on the horizon. He's a waste of space. Trade him while he has value.

Tough play, it just wasn’t on the goal line, it was between harts skate and the post too, just awkward

That’s true. Good point.

He will terminate contracts to get the legendary tandem Ulysses Grant and Nate Tombstone back together ❤

Grant was pretty good 2 years ago. Last year was a bad year for him. Grant was invisible last night and couldn’t win faceoffs against a Wild team that can’t win faceoffs.

He played almost 18 minutes. That means he is better than Patrick and Nate Tombstone combined.

There is always room for a glue guy with sandpaper to his game on this franchise.

Patrick isn’t on the team and yeah 18 minutes with zero impact. They waived him for a reason. I doubt even Chuck would want him now.

Hart gave up too many soft goals again. We have been told that he's very good positionally, but he rarely seems explosive going from post to post. Soft goals take the steam out of the team. It's only game game one, but let's hope Hart gets his act together.

Great pass by Couts and great goal by G in the 4th. Nice play....

Lol. He does kinda look like he was slapped together in a madman’s lab. But I’d have taken him in a second.

I really wanna know how the Pens do it? I hate them, but how do they do what they do. Their top 2 world class centers are out of action and they come out and clobber teams. It looks like hard work. Is it the makeup of the team or coaching. I'm at a loss for words.

Combination of all the above and they know they are coming back. Out of the gate a lot of teams surprise and then level off.. this level is not possible to sustain over an 82 game schedule without top guys.. but it is like the mindset of an army knowing they are getting reinforced and do not have to hold out indefinitely.
