Keith is now on a really good team with speed & passion - - Colbyboy
But their dmen aren't good defensively + Klefbom is out injured. Keith no longer elite speed. |

That's great news for them (Germany). But him being an assistant and not an NHL coach is a concern. ie Coliton.... I'm hoping for a proven coach who has credibility - BGKarras
A national coach is just as credible as a head coach in the nhl. Why? Because the talent level of competition is the same if not better. National teams are all stars compared to a standard nhl team. Strum has the tools to be a very good nhl coach. |

The team would be ready to go from the first puck drop and they would play defense.
Maybe Ken "Paul Bearer" Hitchcock? - mohel
Funny you should bring him up. Just read recently that he's been officially retired for two years and is loving it. But, I also hear, that cheeseburgers remain a big deal on the traveling NHL circuit. Had he been available, he would have made a great interim.

Tortorella thinks very highly of Seth Jones - as a player and a leader. He’d be an intriguing option.
One really good thing about Torts - if you play well, you play. If you don’t, you’re held accountable and you sit. - Chief4Feathers
He’s also like Renteria. |

OK, I'd been hoping Shaw would open the curtain a bit on what is really going on - supposedly he said this at one of the intermissions:
@agonisti
The intermission comment by Shaw (who knows the current system) that the players don't know who to pick up & cover despite having enough players back in Dzone, said it all for me.
ETA: Shawzy also supposedly commented that the team doesn't look excited to play
YIKES - pdx2ord
If those comments are true they are very telling and concerning ,Watching the 1st 3 games It looks like a munity maybe at hand . I think the talent is here but needs structure. |

If EVER a team needed your second sentence advice, it is now.

He still stinks.
And calling the Oilers "really good" is a stretch.
They have the best player in the world and a handful of good players, but for the most part that team is junk. |

I don't get this. What does this mean ? Renteria was a nice guy, Torts certainly is not. Please explain.
