No humor necessary. Sturm is the current assistant coach for the Kings but more importantly he was the German National team head coach and has done wonders with them. A team with no real superstars (yet) and has beaten top national teams with superstars. A coach that can do with little and have them play at a top level is what we need.

People here have said that the signing of Jones and Fleury is an indication that the team is trying to win it all while Kane and Toews have something left. We're going to have to replace JC with someone who knows how to win in the NHL, not Marco Sturm or some AHL rising star. I'd love to see Torts kick these guys into shape for two seasons, but I know I'm in the minority with that opinion.
