Is Mrazek not going on LTIR?

This poop really looks bad on management in my mind. Absolutely no flexibility to deal with short term injuries.

All of this was predictable. Short term injuries were going to happen, management not planning for it was a dog poop stupid mistake.

Mikheyev's room was already being used to keep Lilly and Amadio. Normally, the plan would have been to send Lilly through waivers to replace the injury in goal/forward.

But that doesn't work when there is an injury on defense.

It will probably all work out for now. But longer term, they really need to have both a forward and a defenseman who are waiver exempt to have some flexibility. I can't think of a trade that would help us.

Seriously the move is trading for Stolli the goalie... @ 950K for this yr and next.. he's a steal.. offer Murray one of the thousand of extra forwards you have signed @ 2mil or more and you get a solid goalie and some cap space.

We got goalies. We just can’t afford to play them. CBA requires team to play a player short for one game before using emergency call up rule. Unfortunately Holl and Mrazek hurt at same time so some kid from U of T gets a good seat for the game. Since Campbell never gets injured, there’s no problem.

My argument all along is that this should have been done after the Habs meltdown. This will be a wasted season in which the Leafs are delaying the inevitable.

I do think it will an issue for at least the 1st half... I still think baring more this team is an 85 to 90 % lock for the postseason..

JT and 16 are going to get going.. Willy is Willy and not many teams can score like them... now once in the playoffs.. well that's a different story altogether.
