Not sure I agree totally with that, but regardless, you probably dont want to cater to just the older crowd if you want to continue to be the most important team in the NHL.

I do like the idea of letting players choose their own goal song, I think its a good idea.

- Archaic

The goal song has nothing to do with the first paragraph above

This is the kind of Leafy bullpoop that just cements the fact that we're all living in a simulation run by a Leaf hating coder.

The leafs simply are cursed.

I could always just go change your predictions as well

Matthews: 1G 0A
Dermott: 80G 250A

That sort of thing lol

He’ll still get t to play in back to back games

Get ready for that.

- Dozzer

In limited doses and against select competition, Hutch can be ok - not the disaster he was 2 years ago. I mean last year he played in 8 games and was 4-2-1 with 5 of the games being considered quality starts.

In a deeper dive, he doesn't look that bad. When the team is short-handed, he has a GSAA of 0.38 which is just above average. His High Danger GSAA is better at .86 - 25th out of 74.

At 5 on 5 he had a 1.4 GSAA (or 31st out of 73); he was -0.44 on HD chances, so he's below average there.

Overall he's not ideal, but if the Leafs tighten up and get back to playing D like they did last year, Hutch can come in and probably get the job done when required.

I'm still hoping that Johnson is incorrect, since he's speculating at this point. The Leafs had said they won't even evaluate Mrazek until tomorrow.

We did a Snake Draft and a Box Pool this year. The Box Pool had 3 goalie categories - we just used the OfficePools default boxes . . .which are a bit flaky.

The first goalie box (1 pt / win; 2 pts / shutout):

Goalie 1 (pick 1)
__ Andersen, F (CAR)
__ Hellebuyck, C (WPG)
__ Jarry, T (PIT)
__ Lehner, R (VGK)
__ Saros, J (NSH)
__ Vasilevskiy, A (TB)

I mean . . .Vasilevskiy was a no-brainer pick. NO BRAINER.

the off-season moves for the loafs are net zero their backup to the backup is hurt so if they make the playoffs i will be expecting the status quo 🤦‍♂️

They are a playoff bubble team imo.

Hey thanks for posting those numbers they’re even better than I thought they would have looked! I was wondering if the leafs would play him against teams with poor defence and goaltending (nhl wise that is) and just look to outscore the team. However after reading those it would seem the play him against poorer offences so the skaters can focus more on D themselves. Makes sense.

Also the only reason I sincerely wonder is because Hutchinson didn’t practice with the Marlies today apparently.

I'm still confused why he didn't give him the opportunity the next night against OTT. Keefe even had Timmeh out there during the warmup.

Why keep Dermott in?!

Its actually mind boggling that the Leafs are still using it for soo many reason. First, pretty much all the fans hate it. Second, it hasnt exactly been a good luck charm. Third, its awful.

I don’t know about that. I’ve heard a lot of Leafs say they think it’s funny and they like it. Not my choice but I think a lot more people like it. I also think it’s an age demographic thing with these opinions. My brother and old man like it - my nephews think it’s stupid.

I think the ice is too shiny, they need to totally change the lighting or freeze the ice to more of a
matte finish. The zamboni leaves too much water behind.

I've not done an OfficePools league in a couple years. Last time in I won $1000.

What a stupid box that is.

Holl proved yesterday that he shouldn't be playing.

Put Liljegren on Muzzin's pair and let him skate. Something that Holl can't do. Also lets Muzzin not skate so much.

It's an excellent goal song.

I don't overly care what people think of the song itself, but as a goal song, it's perfect.
