Excited to watch the game tonight. Let's hope for a more solid start and a W.
Really wanting to see what some of the young guys bring as they get into the routine of this season. - breadbag

The stadium was one of the greatest venues for hockey. Had season tix's for 15 years. Sat in second balcony. There were fights on and off the ice especially on Sunday nights after a Bears home game. Oh, and that wasn't water on the bathroom floors! - bjphawkfan
There was no better place to watch a hockey game. I've been a season ticket holder since 1964 when I was 10 years old. We had mezzanine tickets that were $3.25 a piece. I'll never forget it. Aisle 13 Section S Row K seats 7-10, right underneath the perch if Foley and Tallon. I remember my dad always saying to me, I sure wish you knew your studies as well as you knew your Blackhawk players.
It was a rockin Old Barn and I was there for Bobby Hull's 50th and 51st and I've never heard anything as loud as those goals.
Just GREAT memories of my childhood with my dad and brother watching those great teams.
Unfortunately, my center ice season tickets in the 100 level are almost $300 each. I'm sure my dad in heaven thinks I'm crazy paying those prices but I feel I'm carrying on the tradition that he started back in 64. It's worth it for that alone.

Why would JC put our weakest D pairing with our best offensive - but worst defensive - line? |

Toews has the key to JC's survival as coach
He missed last year & if Toews thinks JC is being tuned out by the team - he will take it to the top. |

That right there is my issue with this defense, at the 7:45 mark in the 1st period 4 guys in front of Lanky all chasing the puck and there's a simple drop pass and no one there to block it. |

JFC nice play McCabe - BetweenTheDots
Easy analysis. Now go back and look at the play again and see where the problem was. |

Wow Gusto actually protected the house on that play, maybe he learned something in Montreal |

So in are Gus and Gaudette with Carpentar and Mitchell out.
For NJ significant is the big addition of Hamilton & Graves. Tatar now here. Hischer, Hughes need to step up. Bernier in net - he is descent and a veteran. This team can compete. The coaching? Talent wise maybe about what Chicago has but the coaching and structure is surely better with everyone else (than us).
I have to ask Theo, there is a replacement for Icehogs radio and TV.? The new radio WGN at least some games has the Icehogs Joey Z with C Fraser. They are a descent pair. I will listen to them and Fraser has good insight. Joey Z has a good announcing voice. I am used to him from Icehogs
I really hope Wideman takes over on TV because I really enjoyed Wideman/tr Murray. Here's hoping Troy returns. |

Wiedeman doing pretty well in his debut
I can actually multitask and still visualize everything going on in the game |

Didn’t he turn the puck over twice on that shift? |

Well of course it's Murphys fault because he sucks passes to a covered guy and then screens the goalie |

Nick Seeler playing tonight for Flyers. Either injuries (?) Or due to salary cap, Flyers have some career minor league guys in line up.
Segway: I predict that Bowman down the road signs or trades for another top line talent. And add more AHL players. |

Good thing so far is NJ isn't patient enough in the offensive zone to draw one of our defenders out to the blue line yet |
