Maybe you meant Murphy and Gusto? - BetweenTheDots
Nope. Read the tweet about JC talking about Jones' partners. Said he might pair Jones with Gus at times.
Hope that clears up your confusion, Chief. |

So when Jones heads up ice on a rush and Gus follows him you’ll be ok with “no one in the house”? - paulr
If Jones plays as much as Colliton implies, by the third period, he’ll be too tired to lead a rush. |

Loved watching them not winning. It’s funny but I no longer hate that team like I did when they were one of Chicago’s biggest rivals.
You’re right, it’s a beautiful city with incredible scenery and the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, a place called Vij’s. - paulr
We loved Vij's when we visited 15 years ago or so. Still going strong, I take it? |

I was there about the same time. I know it’s still in business and I read they bought or rent an adjacent store so I’m guessing they’re still doing well. |

Yes, Mr. Vikram Vij is still running his restaurant - great food!
Vancouver is actually really easy city to pick up tickets to hockey games.

Gretzky is out of his element on TV. - paulr
So is Darren Pang.
I know they just started, and there’s a bit of a learning curve for all involved, but really not digging the TNT coverage thus far. |

He's averaged 25 mins per game the last three years. I would guess he'll be alright. Still young, for now. |

Pang has been a D-- color commentator on St Louis Blues broadcasts for years.
As if I ever needed more reason to detest the team. |

Here in Toronto Kevin Bieksa has turned into an excellent between periods analyst. No only knowledgeable but well spoken and really funny. |

Colliton said Seth Jones will play so much that he won't have just one partner — he'll play some with de Haan, Stillman and even Gustafsson. The McCabe-Murphy pair will be more "static."
Colliton on Strome:
"He’s hungry to play. Last time I talked to him a couple days ago, he said, ‘When I come in, I’m not coming out.’ That’s the attitude you’ve got to have. He’s got some competition here." - Chunk
So Strome's agent reminded Dylan that he's in the final year of his contract and in order to maximize his next one he actually has to put up some points and play like he give's a crap? |

I love the stuff Bieksa has on the shelves behind him. So many inside jokes.

(frank)ing great Gusto in tonight. Danny please send Bowman and JC on their way. - BetweenTheDots
If he plays the same or worse than Mitchell did on Wednesday he should be waived immediately. It's hard to fathom he's a worse option than Mitchell right now. |

What was the old stadium like? I never made it out to it before they closed it down.

Windsor is great with all the casinos. You should go up the road and look around Toronto, nice city as well. Down by the harbor is the nicest tourist area
Toronto's stadium is pretty nice as well, great atmosphere. I would wear my Hawks jersey and have lots of great banter thrown at me.
Hawks were the team that closed out Maple Leaf gardens - can't remember the score, but the Hawks won. Probert scored a goal and had a fight. - SchwiftyHawk
Been to Toronto and Montreal and am a fan of both...though admittedly mostly of the hockey team in TOR.
Detroit has casinos as well and don't really spend much time there. Have heard Windsor does have some great Italian restaurants though. |

Really steep, stairs that were oddly sticky and slippery at the same time, uncomfortable seats, smelled funny, loud as hell, semi regular fights, and easily one of the best experiences of my life.
I was lucky enough to be taken to three regular season games and the '91 All-star game. No experience like it. |

It was an experience for sure. Other than sight-lines at places in the Mezzanine, most seats were good.
When I came home from college, me and some friends would often grab SRO seats in the second balcony. You could still see and the ticket ($8) was cheaper than a beer nowadays.
I remember sometime midway thru the second period there was usually standing water on the bathroom floors. I remember being there in the days when smoking was allowed inside the stadium and there being a haze in the air.
You couldn't beat the atmosphere and vibe as far as stadiums go though. Definitely fond memories of the old stadium.
It was kind of a poophole but also glorious at the same time if that makes sense. |

I heard the old Detroit arena 'Olympia' had crazy steep stairs as well. Must be a thing with stadiums built in that era?
How was the pipe organ?
